My experience here really traumatized me. Safe to say I will never eat Popeyes again. While I understand it is a fast food restaurant and my expectations should be low, I did not expect to be as violated as I was. I am a pescetarian and have not ingested chicken in 10+ years... until now. I was very excited to enjoy their returning Fried Flounder Fish Sandwich and spent a total of 65.00 on 4 of them, with a few sides. My husband and I were eating and after a few bites, something was not right. The sandwich was indeed.... CHICKEN. I felt so disgusted and forced myself to throw up. Unfortunately, nothing came out. The receipt stapled to my bag clearly stated "FLND (for flounder) Sandwich". I did not understand because this has never happened to me before, even with past Popeyes visits. The disgust that I felt ingesting chicken and the way it made me sick, could have been avoided if the employee preparing the order cared to read the ticket or ask questions if confused on the order. On top of that, when I brought this to their attention, I did not receive any apologies. No looks of guilt or remorse. And barely any friendliness. Just told to get my refund through their app. The cherry on top of the cake is that I drove (in an Uber) 6mi to this specific Popeyes, because most of the reviews said their food was good and well prepared. So not only did I waste money traveling, but wasted money at this terrible place. They really need to get it together.
