Excellent food and atmosphere. A must try. Great service.
Finest hidden Italian Restaurant in CT with unmatched international clientele associated with Maritime and Financial Services. A true testament to both industries and Ron Rosa Polpo’s iconic owner and pillar of community. Ultimately, despite its secretive status, one of the most authentic and fun upscale dining experiences in prestigious Fairfield county.
A wonderful dinner with excellent service. Can't wait to return.
My experience was so-so. I've eaten at Italian restaurants around the world, been to Italy multiple times, etc. Vibe is more "gumbah" than continental Italian. One vibe is not better than the other, but it is more of a suburban feel than eating on Greenwich Ave. This place is always packed, so many people like the atmosphere. It's a bit too crowded and NYC "Little Italy" for me. Food was very good but not stellar. Solid, quality fare but not a "10" Service by waitstaff was fine. The bearded maitre d' acted like a jerk--not welcoming, and gruff. The place is so busy, he literally couldn't care less if we stayed or left. Not welcoming Prices are HIGH. That's ok if the food and service are stellar, but in my case they weren't. Cheapest glass of wine is $17, many are $30. I've lived in Manhattan and Mayfair, and I thought this suburban Italian joint was on the high side. Again, this place is always packed so maybe I'm just a cheapskate. Net Net: I'm glad I tried this place, but I won't return. For the money, there are better places in terms of food and service on The Ave or in Manhattan (eg, Piccolo Italiano on Park and 60th).
Really good food and great service
Rude staff, as others have stated, and I do suspect it is particular toward women - there is no shortage of fine dining with top service in Greenwich, don’t bother with this spot.
Excellent food, upscale atmosphere.
