Service was a little slow but that is understandable. The food however was tremendously bad. The taste of the fish was old, the seaweed salad was nasty, the rice was overcooked/old and was practically mush, and we both had stomach issues after eating less than a tenth of our order. Find somewhere else to eat.
The ingredients were poor quality and tasted off (very fishy and dirty?). Unfortunately we couldn’t eat it and had to throw $33 in the trash. Save your money, H-E-B poke is somehow better than this.
There's just no way this "double protein bowl" was 18 dollars man did me so dirty...
The portion sizes here are a joke - the bowl itself is smaller than the amount you would give to a small dog. They skimped out on everything including the salad mix, so I hardly had any base in my bowl. On top of that, the quality of the ingredients is bad and the food wasn’t even tasty. I’ve tried many poké places in Austin and this one is the worst by far.
By far the worst bubble tea I have ever had.
the poke was just alright, the boba was awful tho :( like it wasn’t cooked at all. very disappointed!
SUCH good poke, the staff was sweet and friendly, and the atmosphere was great! I’m honestly shocked at all the bad reviews, my family went in on a whim just looking for a place to eat something good quick and we got exactly that.
I feel like this place isn't confident on any one experience and instead just defaults to giving everyone all the options... while not really delivering a good value or quality. Unlike Malibu Poke in seaholm, Poke Austin doesn't give you the feel like there dishes are carefully crafted, with each ingredient supplementing each other. An example was the Volcano bowl, the bowl was so crowded with every spicy ingredient they had, that it didn't really highlight any flavors and never established a base. Topped with a overly powerful spicy sauce that brings heat, but no flavor alongside it. I'll be driving the extra 5 minutes next time and can't wait to correct this review once this place adds something new to the amazing Poke scene in Austin.
I was aittle hesitant bc of all the low reviews, but decided to try anyway since most of them aren't super recent. Everything was tasty and the price was on par with poke anywhere else. Staff was friendly and helpful. I plan on going back again
