I absolutely love club play, I’ve been coming since I was 19 years old. The show is something magical. But for the past few years I’ve watched (African American) performers come and go. I acknowledged and have gotten several reasons. But it makes no sense. This past weekend I paid for a vip seating two reserved tables for family and friends. And I was sad because I was told before the first show that Diana Rae is no longer preforming. One of the most talented people with the biggest heart and open mind. She was popular to my the African American community of preforming at her best in the drag show at play. Countless nights waiting on her performance to give her $100+ in ones. It was very sad but also confusing. I immediately left I didn’t even want my reservation. I love the show absolutely but to see my people of color makes it even better. Speaking to other performers they were very upset she was fired as well and said “they needed a reason and when they had one they let her go” smh. It hurt to hear. So I no longer will be going back to club play.
Love love love this club!!!!
This place is the bees knees! Highly recommend and the queens are fierce boots! The bartenders are incredibly friendly and the dance floor will make you want to dance all night long! I will be coming back!
Had a fun time here watching a show with my boyfriend. Staff was nice and efficient and working through the lines even when the club was packed.
Beware of car thieves & car break ins. It’s been 4 weeks since cars have been broken into back to back and our finally did. Police are sometimes here and still nothing changes. Felt very unsafe at night with no cameras in the parking lot so just be careful and vigilant of where you park.
The most inclusive environment, and it makes everyone there so happy.
I love a gay/club drag bar but other than Mykul V the drag show was very blahhhhh compare to Nashville, TN. Step game up……
Great place to go and not feel judged, can just go and have a good time with the gorgeous queens!!!!
