Outstanding!! 5+++ Jay was terrific for service, food was absolutely outstanding. One of the top meals of my life!!! Tomahawk Tuesday is truly an experience!

I enjoyed my experience at Platea very much! I decided to go on a Sunday, so I went ahead and booked a reservation online. The process was easy and quick. I got 15 minutes before my reservation and the people there were extremely nice to accommodate us in a table. The ambience was great with light music and deemed lights. The menu it’s easy to understand with so many tempting options. Our server was very nice, and I liked how the sommelier of the place came first thing to offer us what they had for that night specials. We started with a tuna tartare, which was made so good, and it was so fresh. The colors of that tuna were amazing and I didn’t take any pictures just because it was too busy eating the delicious food! What I loved the most about the tuna tartare besides the flavors, the taste, and tenderness …was the sauce that it came with. I could eat the sauce alone for days! Then we shared at Chaufa and it was spectacular. The explosion of flavors in my mouth, were phenomenal, and I loved how everything was cooked to perfection. I saw the pictures of this place and I thought that their food will have a lot of flavor but not you go there and try it, is when you definitely noticed that. They are located in a shopping center which means parking is free and limited so my recommendation is make reservations and go with a little 10 minutes extra time just in case.

Food and service was outstanding. The Manager ruined the evening when he wanted to charge us $35 for serving a cake that we brought. Really??? We spent over $500 and he wanted charge me for this?

Meat quality was OK however my husband's bone in ribeye was very fatty. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly but extremely salty. Don't know if this is a Peruvian must. I could not eat it. The lobster tail I requested was upgraded to their house specialty $65!!! I wanted a simple lobster tail add-on with my filet. The wine was very good but the time we walked in it appeared to be in a disarray. No enough workers to clear tables. We waited almost 30 minutes and we had reservations! Overall very disappointed with this spot. We were really looking forward to a great neighborhood steakhouse but didn't meet our expectations.

Pros: lots of parking. Food was incredible (get the steak! And Brussel sprouts were amazing!). Staff was attentive and very nice. Upscale feel inside Cons: we should have done more research it was much more expensive than planned. Dietary restrictions: We're able to cater to my shellfish allergy no problem!

The food was incredible. Tostones appetizers were super. I had the salmon it was very tasty. Service was prompt. Atmosphere was very nice with the lady singer and guitarist. The desert with the red rose was unbelievable! Highly recommended.

My family and I absolutely enjoyed eating at Platea. The service was wonderful and the food was even better. It was worth every penny. We ordered Jalea as our appetizer although its not actually an appetizer. Then, we ordered Fungi, White Chaufa, Prime NY Strip Steak, Prime Ribeye, and Prime Top Sirloin Cap as our main entree which we shared amongst the table. The present was everything. Then for dessert we had La Planta. The Sangria was delicious and everything came out to around $288. I would definitely eat there again. Sometimes steakhouses only do steak well. But Platea did everything good down to the dipping sauce for the bread. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
