This is one of the oldest pub, Irish Style in New York City. Over 130 something years old. This is an institution. When I am in town, that's where you'll find me. This place is just great, period. The best pint of Guinness! The best bartenders ! A serious item on your must do list. Enjoy
Unfortunately a nice dinner ended poorly because the moment we paid our bill (over $400 so not an insignificant amount) the Manager came over and said he needed our table. He tried to say he wasn’t trying to be rude, but when you tell a table of 4 who haven’t even finished the drinks they PAID for after paying the check 5 minutes ago to get up, you’re being rude. Still like the chain, but management here should learn a little about customer service
Incredible food. Beautiful old pub. Great place to meet friends, colleagues, etc. Service was great and staff was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely return on my next trip to NYC.
Time-Tested Gem for Lunch and Dinner! P J Clarke’s in New York is a true icon when it comes to dining out. Whether it’s lunch or dinner, this place never fails to impress! The locations are simply amazing, offering a charming ambiance that perfectly complements the outstanding service. The food? Oh, it’s beyond amazing! From their mouthwatering hamburgers to the crispy fish and chips and the decadent lobster rolls, every dish is a culinary delight. The selection is top-notch, and the oysters are always served with precision and care. In summary, P J Clarke’s is a timeless classic that should not be missed. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, make sure to stop by for an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!
The vibe of this restaurant is so nice, built in the 1800s the decor looks like it has not changed at all. I got the bbq blue burger and it was great. Blue cheese can be overwhelming but it was really tasty on this burger. The party was cooked well and was juicy and not too greasy. The fries are thin and crispy. I think they could’ve been salted a bit more but that’s easy to remedy. The espresso martini is strong on the espresso which I like, not too liquify tasting and the cheesecake is sweet and creamy. Overall a really cozy environment with tasty food.
The burgers are okay. It's a traditional American thick patty burger. Nothing to write home about. The staff is really friendly, and the cocktails are balanced
Outstanding staff and service!! Mary Sciutto
