This place used to be better. When Pizzeria Libretto opened in Toronto, it was exciting. But they've gone downhill - more commercial with quality problems. For example, several of our takeout pizzas were really burnt (i.e., blackened crust), so we finally had to make a special request for non-burnt pizza. As another example, I ordered a traditional, mild pizza capricciosa several times, until the last one was topped with ingredients marinated in chili oil. Funny enough, the replacement pizza had the same problem. When we're looking for spice, we'll head to a good Mexican or Thai restaurant. When we're looking for fresh, high-quality ingredients in classic Italian cooking - we'll head somewhere other than Pizzeria Libretto.
Celebrated a birthday here. Great family restaurant, with high chairs and crayons to keep kids busy. Atmosphere was great and decor was beautiful Kid-friendliness: High chairs and crayons
Went for my husband’s birthday and had the best experience!! Amazing diovala pizza and they even made me a custom cocktail… Kelsey was sooo sweet and made the whole night extra special :) thank you Kelsey!!!
Service was great. Food was great. That simple!
Ordered meatball appetizer (16.00 on menu) along with rapini (also an appetizer) as my main course. Was charged an extra $4.00 on my bill for the meatballs. When I asked the server why, he said “that’s the way we do it at night” and the conversation was over. ?! Kindly put the actual prices on your menu. If I was charged for a main course serving of meatballs, I should have been advised / asked. Of course it’s “only $4” but that’s not the point, transparency is. Otherwise, this resto is truly nothing but average. Lots of better places to eat in the neighborhood (where your bill isn’t a surprise.)
I’m obsessed with Pizzeria Libretto’s pizzas! The crust is like heaven—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and tastes just like Nonna’s homemade bread. Seriously addictive stuff
Great pizza and arancini.
