Excellent pizza and gelato! We enjoyed the beer wall and the service was refreshingly good. Very nice and clean establishment. We will be back soon!
Really good pizza! Self serve beer? Yes please!!
This was my first time ordering from them. The pizzas have unique toppings. We tried Margherita and Bianca (no tomato sauce). I personally didn’t care much about chargrilled flavour because to me it tastes burned. However, I was told that I can ask for light crust so it won’t taste so burned. Pizzas are not very large. But Overall, it was a good experience and I’m glad I tried it.
Not sure how this "find" of a pizzaria is doing with locals, but if they've never had a chance to eat the real thing in the Italian homeland, no need to rush out a get a passport: Pizzaluté should be a destination all its own. (Definitely worth the drive from Mobile!) This is truly authentic Neapolitan pizza made with love. Hand-stretched dough, baked quickly in a real, wood-fired Neapolitan oven, producing a bubbly, chewy crust, and a perfect char. This low-key place has invested where it counts...not in white-tablecloth service, but in a great oven and the best ingredients. Tomato sauce of perfect simplicity made from italian plum tomatoes. Fresh mozzarella. (Yes, FRESH. Not the usual, shredded stuff in plastic bags.) Fresh whole basil leaves. My only quibble with my margherita pizza would be the added garlic, which is not characteristic of the classic Margh, but I do like garlic;-) Beer bar is a fun added attraction. Even had a couple of quaffable wines on tap (a grüner veltliner and a pinot noir...would have loved a sangiovese). The gelato offerings are also a very nice thought for Pizzaluté's concept, but the flavors have more of a beach vibe than Italian. I did notice that the sweet cream flavor (fiordilatte, an Italian favorite) was almost sold out, so the local folks must have a taste for it! How about some stracciatella and nocciola?! Vegetarian options: Vegans have the option of a marinara pizza. Simple but great ingredients and execution.
Delicious pizza and good beer selection. More of a special date/pizza night spot compared to the other local pizza places or chains!
Got a pizza for pickup. At first they gave us the wrong pizza and ended up letting us keep both which was nice… made up for the $20 13 inch pizza. Very small. Very high price. Not that good either. I was disappointed with this place & would say dominos is better.
When are you open? I like to try it but when I go its closed. Hours on the door are wrong, hours on the website are wrong, hours on google are wrong, hours on the instagram are wrong. I try to call no answer.
While the cheese pizza here is delicsious “I would not get any other pizza because it collapses with how thin it is” the service is simply inexcusable. This is already hard to get to only open 4 days a week for 5 hours, they don’t offer online ordering, now they have stopped taking phone calls so you have to go in to order In person. Despite the incredible inconvenience of this I drove there to order takeout only to find an index card on the door saying “out of pizza dough” this is a pizza joint where you can’t buy pizza. They are simply too unreliable to be a successful business. Don’t waste your time here.
