Finally tried their pizza after years, and loved it. Big slices, bit more expensive than shops outside but worth trying. The shop always has a lineup when I go and seating around the area is limited so a pizza slice is a good food option in the market. Try their margarita or cheese slices, they look good!
Not extraordinary, but pretty good pizza.
Hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The photos taken by other reviewers of the pizzas pretty much illustrate what you’re getting: a layered, thick pizza with a generous amount of toppings. I’ve lived in Vancouver all my life, and tried a lot of different pizzas, but this was something else.
We got ourselves a scoop of limoncello and it didn’t taste authentic, artificial flavors were probably added to make it stronger and aromatic and it made us thirsty afterwards. We asked for sampling when we ordered, because we saw that one of the staff members gave two tiny plastic spoons of gelato to a kid and his mother. However, the girl that served us said they don’t offer sampling. We are confused and offended by this unequal treatment. Their reviews are so high, probably it’s because of their pizzas, which we didn’t try but they look good not gonna lie.
Great pizza, we always grab a slice when visiting Granville Island
Best pizzas in granville island! Seagull approved , we love the canadian! Its our favourite!, there are crunchy and always warm, they have more options, also they hace gelato and pasta, today we didnt have to wait to order, but some time there is a lot of line, but it moves fast! Parking: Granville island market parking area Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, everything in the first/main floor
Nothing devastated me more than when I moved out of downtown and was no longer within the uber radius for this pizza.
Gelato review: we ordered the chocolate hazelnut as an affogato. The gelato was rich and creamy in texture (not creamy in flavour, appropriately), affogato was presented with a ladyfinger, which went well. Note that they don't do samples (so line doesn't move too slowly), and that the scoop we received with the affogato was much smaller than the scoop that folks got with cones.
The staff is dishonest. I went here with my kid, and he ordered a kids' scoop, which is 5 dollars on the menu. The staff said 5 dollars, and then we get interrupted by another staff member who charges my kid 6.75. I paid it, thinking it might be add on tax. We leave, and 20 mins later, my girlfriend goes there with our kid. He gets the exact same kids scoop of ice cream, and they charge my girlfriend 5dollars. So I went back there and confronted them and got my change. They had no answers, just apologies, but it's awful business practice to be dishonest to your customers. Everyone should have the same price, not a different price for kids who go there with dads and kids who go there with mums. Check your receipts, or they might charge you extra!!
charly and amy highly suggest the granville island pizza (8.5/10). amazing flavour, amazing price, perfect size.
