I live over an hour away. Had an appointment in Columbia and was looking for a bite before driving home. Food was great, and everyone in the place seemed to be regulars. People knew the staff and the main cashier/server was very sweet with everyone. I got there around 230p and they close at 3p I wasn't rushed, and will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

This was our first time at Pita's and my wife and I both enjoyed our meals. The lunch portion for both platters was plenty of food for the price and everything was delicious. Friendly and fast service. We will definitely be back!

The most outstanding mediterrainian food in Cola. There are others that are good, but pitas takes it over the top. The presentation, the attention to detail, and the overall quality of the dish. I am so happy to have them in our community!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Mediterranean food restaurant, and I must say, it was an incredibly flavorful experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the enticing aroma of fresh herbs and spices. The ambiance was warm and inviting, exuding a charming Mediterranean charm. The menu offered a wide array of options, each showcasing the vibrant flavors of the region. I opted for a selection of mezze, which included classics like hummus, falafel, and tzatziki. Every bite was a burst of delightful flavors – the hummus was smooth and creamy, the falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the tzatziki had a refreshing tang that perfectly complemented the dishes. For the main course, I had the pleasure of trying their grilled lamb chops. The meat was incredibly tender and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a celebration of tender meatiness accentuated by the subtle smokiness from the grill. To top off the evening, I indulged in a very tasty dessert to share. The layers of flaky pastry with a sweetened nut filling were simply divine. It was the perfect ending to a truly satisfying meal. Overall, the Mediterranean food restaurant impressed me with its flavorful dishes that showcased the essence of this rich cuisine. The attentive service and cozy atmosphere further enhanced the dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a culinary adventure filled with exceptional flavors.

Added response to owners' comments: 1. Everything I described was my impressions. I have no knowledge of the kitchen processes and that makes no difference. The food bordered on inedible. I was able to eat it which is the only reason I did not give this zero stars. 2. The abundant seating does not take away from the fact that the dining room is dismal. Get some new booths and tables at the very least. 3. "Dinning room" might actually describe the dining room's environment, as others have complained about the noise level, but I suspect this is a misspelling. 4. The pita bread was scarce and not fresh. A pita oven is not a requirement for decent pita bread. My impression is that it is not very good to start with and was reheated after being in the kitchen for some time. Chewy and dry. 5. French fries are not French. Crinkle cut is mostly an American thing. I have had better out of the freezer section of the supermarket. 6. A broth holding tank will not lead to moist chicken. The salt in the broth will dehydrate the chicken. Chicken usually is dry when the proteins coagulate and encapsulate the natural oils and moisture, in short when it is overcooked by heat and/or brining. Try switching to a no salt broth for starters, if you really need to hold it. 7. The server was fine which is why she got a 20% tip. The service includes greeting, seating, etc. We got "sit wherever you want" grunted at us. Not a nice greet and seat. 8. I mostly don't bother with 2 to 4 star reviews. So, of course, about half my reviews will be 1 star. I like to warn people away from certain restaurants with personal gastronomic impressions, and I like to lead people to other restaurants with personal gastronomic impressions. Not much sense in telling patrons that a restaurant is mediocre but acceptable. 9. Your restaurant shows a distinct need for improvement. Your attitude is off kilter. You should consider a negative review as a blessing. Original review : I cannot imagine a worse Mediterranean meal. I had the falafel platter. This included 8 pieces of charred and burnt falafel that tasted like it was made from a box mix. It had four meager pieces of pita which reminded me of very stale store bought pita bread. The pita did not even seem to be heated up or toasted, just straight out of a plastic bag. The bulk of the salad was sliced domestic cucumber. They couldn't be bothered to find Persian cukes. It was said to have Lebonese pickle. The pickle was not Lebonese. It tasted like store bought garlic dill pickle, specifically much like a Clausen kosher dill pickle. I picked at the salad to find anything remotely Mediterranean or Middle Eastern without success. The hummus was bland and grainy. Grainy hummus is common from a lack of rehydration of box mix ingredients. Moving on to my wife's chicken platter. This had breast meat chicken pieces that must have been reheated from much earlier in the day. Dry as a bone. Not tasty. The salad was similar to mine except for the addition of a few crumbs of feta cheese. Her platter included crinkle cut french fries that were cold, mushy, and very American. In all, a very disappointing dinner of leftovers from earlier in the day that were poorly kept, poorly reheated, poorly prepared to begin with. My last complaint is the environment. We tried to sit at two different booths but the tables were too large so not enough room. We ended up in a booth with more room but the seats seemed to have no padding. Dismal dining room.
