Most everything tastes good not so much the fish or mushrooms but the fried chilli's are good.
I received my order, chips were nice and hot. The fish wasn't cooked all they way, and it had a bad after taste. Change your cooking oil. Then I took a drink, it was not what I order, nasty it was gross, that went into the garbage with the food. Onion rings were horrible and burnt. Greasy and had an after taste.
Always amazing and perfect
We have been going there for years the last 2 times we've been there the food has not been great. Fried Zucchini was floating in grease, Fried Oysters were the size of a nickel and the French fries not crispy even though we requested them to be. We won't be going back.
There is a quiet moment. Alone in your car with a meal that was $3.91. This quiet moment, away from the usual thrush of time, the food is fresh in the way fried food is: scorching, cheap and easy, quick and greasy. It lasts, the peace, silence, stillness, as long as the boat of fish & chips does. There is a quiet moment and for $3.91 it’s not a bad deal.
If you love the Mesa classic Pete’s, then you’ll love Pirates. It’s literally the same. Except Pirates takes debit cards. Not really any seating - maybe a picnic table. It’s more get it and go. Kind of greasy, kind of cheap but in a guilty pleasure kind of way.
Fish was overcooked. It was dry. The atmosphere is very dirty. They do not pick up their grounds outside where you eat.
