Fish was not fresh, very industrial. Service was excellent!!!

Really enjoyed visiting Pips on a spring break from the bay area. The food was tasty and the music was good.

On our visit to LA we spent Tuesday night at Pips on La Brea with Sam Hankins @banddaddy and The Flow Band. What a great atmosphere! If you’re looking to spend an evening with superb jazz musicians in a laid back atmosphere with great food—- what are you doing Tuesday night???

This was our first time eating here and the food was delicious and had lots of options. The staff was friendly and fun. Even other customers were very nice and friendly and fun. The atmosphere was a great vibe. And the music was great.

It's the day before Valentine's Day and I decided to take my boyfriend out to dinner when I knew it wouldn't be a headache. I saw this place and it had pretty good reviews and it was Jazz night. Oh yeah... right up my alley dinner and good music go well together and they didn't disappoint!! The band was great love them. I started with a drink Rum Punch it was so good and my boyfriend had a Heineken. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms with crab meat for starters and it was delicious. For dinner, I ⁶ordered the Oxtail and pasta, and talk about tender and juicy with the gravy... perfect! They give you these small little forks to get all the meat off the bones. My boyfriend ordered the Lambchop and Asparagus and he said they were good. Not too pricey my drink was 17 dollars the beer was around 7 I think. The waiters were on point. Great service. The experience was so much fun I want to go back on a Wednesday for R&B night. Oh if you like to eat outside they have a patio area as well with heating lamps. Give them a try if you're in the neighborhood. Warning Parking Sucks. Parking: Hard to find, next to a super Target and other stores
