Solid pizza. My wife went in and ordered while I grabbed some stuff from food land next door. We both thought the pizza was good. She did say the menu was a bit confusing as they had a way to order a calzone but that was way different than the pizza but all in all solid place for pizza on the island.
Pizza was great as usual but prices have definitely gone up since we left Hawaii.
Prices have dramatically increased, still delicious. Used to come here all the time, unlimited toppings pizzas were $12. Now they are $19 and +2-$6 for various crust options (thick crust, cauliflower and gluten free.) Still delicious.
First time ordered Island Style pizza without red onion. Not bad!
When standing in line, I ordered 3 of their specialty pizzas (predefined, with no changes). They started to make the first one as usual, then got the dough out for the other two pizzas. Then they started helping the next customer in line. Thought it was a bit weird since they usually work on the whole party before moving on to the next one, but I inched my way down the line. I stood in line, holding it up a bit because I see they haven’t started on the other two pizzas. They asked me if the one pizza is all I ordered, I told them I ordered two more that they didn’t make pointing at the other two doughs left on the side. The worker just stared at me, then started helping another customer make a new pizza. I was so confused. I continued to stand there until it was my turn to pay. They again asked if one pizza was all I had. I again said I am still waiting for the two specific pizzas I ordered. The cashier awkwardly stared down line, and didn’t bother asking the other workers where my pizzas were. After standing in silence for like 15 seconds. I said I’ll just pay for the one and leave. The one pizza I had was fine.
Pieology Our local ohana recommended this place. We enjoyed it. We expected a long wait though we came later than rush hour. We got it. The process is more clear by the signs on the glass, although afterbaked was never clarified. We figured it out. Very patient servers provided efficient service & an original work of art. Tasty & no waiting for a called number or name, they brought it right to the table. We loved it. There was no upsell (dessert pizza, etc) & the place was loud at times but I loved the walls of quotations. We read it. Offering such a flexible menu adds variety & adventure, as well as a great gift to those needing gluten free or low carb cauliflower. Highly advised to use the app -- maybe even if you're waiting in line but there are deals & points our auntie used. At least one very living couple gave up waiting at about 15 minutes. We persevered. Despite the wait, we had a great New Year's lunch that will be hard to beat. We'll be back. PS Christmas decorations made me think there was one unisex option so I'm pretty sure I washed my hands in the vacant men's room -- the clue being that other seemingly related non pie: the urinal cake. I survived ;)
Everything was good, except for the dining room was dirty. All the tables were dirty, and floors were dirty.
Ordered a pepperoni pizza and it came with two slices of cheese pizza
