1/24/2024 Another amazing dining experience at Piccolino Ristorante. We did not have reservations yet decided to head over to the th3 restaurant. We were greeted by the lovely hostess who is always so bright, positive, and friendly. She took us to a lovely booth, and Javier stopped by to take our drink and appetizer order. What a nice man and excellent server. We also visited with Jorge, another amazing person who has helped us many times and wished out best to Tina, the amazing bartender. Great people and magnificent service. We started with the eggplant souffle, which was simply delicious. For dinner Javier took our order and I must say their specials are so hard to decide on but we settled on fish which we were both craving. My wife ordered the New Zealand Sea Bass with roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables, and she told me it was beyond words fantastic. I had the grilled salmon with mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes, and all I can say is WOW. The ambiance was so romantic and peaceful, and we had a wonderful conversation with Sal, the owner who is such a loving guy and is so passionate about his place and the people who dine there. We finished with coffee and spumoni, and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening. Also, a shout out to the wonderful young man who kept out water glasses full and checked on us from time to time. If you have not dined at Piccolino Ristorante, I highly recommend this fine establishment if you desire authentic Italian cuisine. The best in the OC. 11/30/2023 What an amazing anniversary dinner at Piccolino Ristorante in Mission Viejo. We were greeted by the lovely hostess, Sal, and Devor who all wished us a Happy Anniversary, it was so kind. We were seated at a wonderful booth that had a beautiful anniversary wish in golden confetti and were treated to a glass of champagne. We also saw Tina, who stopped by to chat and wish us Happy Anniversary. Jorge was our server extraordinare. The service by all staff was stellar. We had an amazing time. We started with drinks, and of course, my wife had her favorite tequilla drink. We also started with the wonderful bread and the eggplant appetizer, which was scrumptious. Jorge stopped by and took our entree order. My wife had the salmon entree, and I ordered the filet mignon and lobster tail. The food arrived, and the presentation and food tasted simply amazing. We enjoyed every bite. For dessert, we had the Spumoni with fresh fruit with cappuccino. Everything was first class. Javier, our amazing server, introduced himself and took our drink and appetizer order. Sal, the proprietor and terrific individual, stopped by, and we chatted a bit and truly enjoyed our visit. Javier brought our Egglant soufflé and it was so tasty and made to perfection. My wife ordered the chef's special, Dover Sole, and I ordered the Salmon Entree. Both dishes were well presented and tasted heavenly. The bread is also quite yummy. We finished the evening with a cup of coffee and had a beautiful evening in a romantic and classy setting. Highly recommended 5/27/2023 It was such a wonderful evening at Piccolino Ristorante. We had reservations and, upon arrival, were greeted by staff and led to the dining room where a spectacular booth was reserved for us. Such a romantic ambiance and the staff are professional, polite, efficient, and just plain awesome! Tina, one of our favorite bartenders, stopped by to say hello, as did Terry, the manager. Such kind, caring and beautiful people!!! Davor or server was exquisite in his approach, attention to detail, outline of the specials and menu items, and just a wonderful and professional demeanor. The dining experience was a taste of heaven. We ordered two of the specials, with my wife ordering the swordfish entree, and I ordered the 8 Oz filet mignon with shrimp, and both dishes were presented beautifully and tasted that much better. Highly recommended!!!
