Our team of six went to Piatti for a business lunch and had a below average experience. Service is standard but the food quality is less than mediocre. Flavors are lacking, and some of the store-bought pasta tastes better. Overall, given that Piatti’s prices are on the high side, we don't think this place is worth the price. Antipasti $17-$18 – 3.5/5 - hard to go wrong with the items purchased outside – burrata, cherry mostarda, and cured meet were really good, but pickled beets are just eeeew Squid Ink Fettuccine $26 – 2/5 - VERY undercooked pasta (and yes, I am intimately familiar what “al dente” means – it was not al dente, just not cooked properly) combined with overcooked, rubber-feel calamari, prawns. Sauce serving was so minimal, that it was hard to say anything about it. Salmon w/rice $32.00 – 3/5 - pretty dry rice, fish serving was thin and less than expected for this price Bucatini, braised lamb, spinach, tomato, parmesan $25 – 1/5 - no traces of any type of meat (meaning not a flake, nada). Tomato sauce where you can taste nothing but tomato. Cioppino $32 - 2/5 - again, plain tomato rules here. Almost feels like even a bit more salt would have made it better/ added spice. Cheap type of seafood prevails

Always great...amazing food and staff ..so glad I was able to make it in one last time today...they are closing their doors on 7/27/23

Food was good. Staff was nice but they were too busy and it took me some time to get their attention for assistance.

Not a fan of going to an Italian restaurant & having to pay extra for the bread. The food was good but certainly not exceptional.

Been coming here for years. During the pandemic we could get Mason jar cocktails to go. Also pizza and salads for our group gatherings in the alviso marinaparking lots. Great to come into the restaurant now that covid restrictions have been lifted. Wish that doordash had more items from regular menu. Loved sitting outside and having caprese salad w baratta cheese, almond slices, and yellow beets. Wonderful ginger julep made w ginger syrup, ginger Ale, and crushed mint. Wish those were on doordash. It's true that no one likes having to pay for bread! Great people. Ps. Caesar salad on menu states boquerones or anchovies. However the salad has none. No, it's not in the dressing....

Let's start with addressing the elephant in the room. The food here is mediocre at best. Presentation could use some help and taste? Well it's not particularly memorable. The ravioli looks like a plate of melted cheese. Half the time, pasta is quite dry. Steak is probably the best of all. I mean, even the tiramisu is average at best.
