I used to love this place when it was Saigon Restaurant. I came back today hoping to eat some delicious Bahn mi sandwiches, which showed it was available on the online menu. It was not btw. So I got duck congee instead, but the duck was flavorless and rubbery. And so boiling hot it was not edible for too long. The portion size is extremely too much. I could have fed 2-3 people off my bowl. I ordered a Thai iced tea togo but it was hot with very little ice and was very syrupy tasting. If only they had added an appropriate amount of ice and stirred it up. It might have been good. I used to come here every time I came to Indy but unfortunately now I will have to pass. Very disappointing after so many years of good service. Bummed
Servers who couldn't get off phones. Only 4 customers in the whole building. No water refill. Sticky tables sticky floor. Missing items that was ordered This place has new owners. We will not be back.
The food is delicious! I loved the customer service and the quiet clean atmosphere. I recommend Pho Saigon for authentic delicious Vietnamese dishes.
This used to be my favorite Vietnamese place. I learned they’d changed ownership a few years ago I think. The atmosphere changed from warm and welcoming to aloof and transactional, then the food quickly followed that downward slope. The pho has a strange flavor now, and my order of bun tonight (rice noodles) had overcooked noodles and not enough sauce to cover the dish. I’m sad to leave such a poor review but it seems they aren’t interested in improving and I think other places deserve the business at this point.
Pho was delicious also bahn mi sandwich and Tai tea was alright
Ordered pho and tamarind beef appetizer. Got horrible food poisoning. Stay away!
I ordered for delivery. They skimped on the broth and the fixings. It ended up being a flavorless noodle soup. I ordered extra noodles thinking that there would be enough, there was barely enough broth to make a regular portion. Now I have to throw out the extra noodles because there’s not enough soup to go with it. Very disappointed not coming back.
Service was good and pretty fast. Our food was out in about 10 minutes. Broth was mediocre.
This used to be our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Indy. I think ownership has changed a couple times, and it’s always been okay, though not as good as the original owner. Today, however, my lunch was horrible. The dumplings were dry and flavorless. The pho was in the smallest bowl I’ve ever had at this restaurant and the flavor was very strange. Service was also worse than usual. There are other, much better pho establishments nearby. We won’t be coming back, though it saddens me because I truly loved this place!
