When I need a bowl of Pho, there is only one place that comes to mind. Pho House is an excellent place to beat the cold and grab a face-shattering bowl of hot pho.
One star is generous. Wife picked up dinner order as they were closing. Pho #3 is gristle on rotten noodles. Beef stew on noodles would only be improved with alpo. Nothing was as described in their menu. Don’t waste your money and taste buds. Purina does a better job. Not anywhere near being worth the price. Pure garbage. Many other good Asian restaurants in Fairbanks.
The food/soup is delicious but it is very pricey.
In all honesty, I didn’t think I was going to experience pho in Fairbanks. To my surprise, it was pretty good, especially during this time of year.
Good Pho as usual, a little noisy with several children (8 years and up) belonging to the owners / staff were quite noisy with their electronic babysitters and no headphones and squabbling with no correction from any of the adult staff. Parking: There were a lot of people and the lot is small. Winter parking for handicapped folks is crammed by snow mountains.
I give tours to the incoming military members, and on our tour I always mention that this place is one of the best places to come in Fairbanks if you are looking for a good bowl of Pho. I have also spent time in Vietnam, in the cities and villages and this place makes Pho like I would eat (almost daily) on my adventures through Con Dao islands. The building is older- but as they say if it looks little rough, you know its gonna be good. (they keep it very clean and tidy).
Best bowl of pho I've had in a while. I wish I had taken a photo, but the moment I started eating I couldn't stop. I also had their strawberry bubble tea and it was amazing. I will absolutely be coming back for another bowl of pho! (Finally got around to taking a photo before eating!) And I do love that they offer take out. Perfect for when I want to relax at home watching TV and eating pho!
Pleasant shop with fast, friendly service and delicious pho! It would be nice to see a few more jalapeños and bean sprouts for the accompanying plate, but admittedly, I didn't ask for more, either, so not their fault! Overall, some darn good pho, and I'd recommend it to friends!
