The food is excellent and the portions are a good size. The restaurant and food are very clean. I got beef and shrimp spring rolls. We will return!....oh yeah the Jasmine Iced Tea is worth trying.
I'm perplexed as to why numerous pho establishments are choosing MSG and salt over authentic beef broth for their soup base. I'm thoroughly disappointed by the pho's diminished quality. Constantly having to drink water to mitigate the overpowering MSG taste is necessary. The sight of stacks of MSG (chicken powder) boxes at the kitchen entrance confirmed their excessive use of MSG.
It's always great here, I'm a regular
No frills restaurant where you can get authentic great tasting pho, bun bo hue, com and thit nuong. It can get busy and you know it's good when you see a lot of Asians dining there! Service can use a little work but if you flag someone for a water refill, they will do it happily! (They are just so busy sometimes). Amazing food, genuine people and one of the best pho places in Austin.
Consistently good food. Fried tofu crisp. Generous portions. Comfortable clean restaurant. Enormous dining area with plenty of natural light.
Love the pho here and the service is great. It's also very clean :)
I walked in around 9:20 am and was excited to see a Vietnamese eatery open this early. I waited several minutes to be seated even after smiling and waiving to the kitchen staff. I was seated and menu handed to me along with a room temperature cup of water, no ice. I was then instructed to point at my selections on the menu rather than verbalize due to the waitress not speaking any English. My pho arrives hot and the ingredients fresh, the broth rich and flavorful. Good portion size. Overall the meal was tasty, but as soon as my food was brought to my table I never saw my waitress again and was never asked by anyone else if I needed anything or asked how the food was. I might return again if in the area, but reluctantly due to the inattentiveness of the waitstaff.
