The hand made tortillas just make everything taste amazing.

One of the best restaurants ever was celebrating my birthday dinner they are very welcoming my waiter was nice and polite food comes out in a timely manner I had the chicken and shrimp fajitas they were the best I’ve ever had will definitely be back and I highly recommend 😊
I came to Huntsville to visit family and they were so excited to take me to Phil Sandoval's. We went the afternoon of August 3, 2022. We arrived at 5pm to beat the dinner rush. Our waitress was very unfocused and looked like you could open an Ulta just using the cosmetics on her face. We placed our orders about 10 minutes after we sat down and she had trouble following our ordering. We made sure she had written it down correctly before she left the table. We knew something was up when our order didn't arrive before other guests who had arrived quite a while after us. We stopped several employees (including our server) and asked for an update. The answer was always "only another minute". By this time our order had been placed over 30 minutes. We finally asked to speak to the manager on duty. It took another 10 minutes for him to come by our table. He happened to arrive at the same time our food came out. He didn't apologize or seem concerned at all that we had been waiting over 40 minutes for food. He mumbled something about the kitchen and left our table. We were a table of 4 and all our food was cold and you could tell they had been plated for a while. In addition 3 of the four plates were not as ordered. We were so hungry and upset by that time we just ate what we were given Now as far as I could tell the food would have been very good if it had arrived hot from the kitchen. But given the service received and the time it took, Sandoval's definitely did nothing to impress me.
We were in the mood for Mexican food so we decided to give Phil Sandoval a shot. I must say having lived on the west coast my expectations for good Mexican food were low. Boy was I surprised! The chips and salsa were amazing and kept coming as my family and I emptied basket after basket. The food was also quite good from the Chicken Chimichanga, triple layer tostados, enchiladas and the fajitas. All in all the food and service was good. We will definitely return.
Asked some people who live here for recommendations for places to eat and the suggested Phil Sandoval's for mexican. Glad we took their advice, the food and service were outstanding. The protions were huge and the prices very reasonable.
Fairly clean large colorful restaurant. The staff did their jobs, just no personality at all. The chicken flautas were oversized and tasted ok, but were not very flavorful. The rice tasted burned and there was only a small amount of beans. The pork tamale was passable, but not great. The best part of the meal was the free chips and salsa. The water tasted horrible. Pass on this place.
Was referred to this place by some locals when visiting for work- Phil's did not disappoint!
Giving them one star only because I like their salsa. Otherwise, the restaurant has gone down the toilet. I couldn't eat my chicken taco salad. It was obviously days old chicken and microwaved. They are apparently opening a new location on west hwy 72. They certainly need to fix the issues at the original location before they open another restaurant . We've been coming here for years. So very disappointing.

Normally, I love this place but today I had a minor issue with a to go order. I called to speak with them about it and I was transferred to a manager. I told the manager there was a weird red sauce I'd never had on my quesadilla and they left out pico and sour cream. Before I could finish my sentence he began chastising me about not reading the menu and not specifying that I didn't want the sauce. Once he finished I told him I liked the sauce it was just different and my biggest complaint was it lacked pico and sour cream. He said " pico doesn't go with to go orders, it's a garnish" I referred back to menu as he previously told me to do during my chastisement session. It said pico and sour cream came with the meal. He argued some more only to say "yeah you shouldvr gotten sour cream." By this time I'm upset he chastised a customer more than I am about the food....so I asked his name. Guess what he said..."It's Phil" then I asked "As in Phil Sandoval?!" He reluctantly said yes. Then and only then did he offer to rectify my order. Smh....I'm not giving anymore money to this place
