Whoever the bartender is that closes on Monday nights—extremely rude and condescending. I hope the owner sees this and has a talk with him about his attitude and him intentionally closing the bar early. And if he IS the owner—do better amigo. Will not be returning to this establishment, and will be spreading the word.
The service could have been better! Over all 3 out of 5 not bad for a tiki bar.
We went on a Saturday evening and it was pretty dead. Our group each ordered a different drink and when we tried each others they all just tasted like pineapple juice and no liquor or anything else and had two cups of ice and about a 1/4 of liquid. Very underwhelming. Pricey. Not great. Felt gimmicky and not tiki authentic, was playing club 90s music and decor was just subpar. far superior tiki locations in the Chicagoland area.
The best Mai Tai I have had in the Chicagoland area. Those that have been to Hawaii would know what I'm talking about. Excellent service. The drinks were elaborate, so don't expect fast food service.
The Tiki Hut was clean and had a nice decor, but that is the one positive thing I can say about this place. The drinks are way over priced for what you get. I ordered the Jungle Bird. For $15, I got what amounted to two mouthfuls of liquid in a sippy cup that was stuffed with a piece of pineapple. The registers are set to charge what amounts to a $4 per drink. The bathroom sink was filled with vomit and other debris and was out of toilet paper. Needless to say I will not be going back.
Great place, definitely worth coming back, great ambience!
This place is fantastic! The atmosphere transports you to the perfect tropical getaway, and the staff’s contribution to those pleasant vibes is unmatched. Every person I encountered here was friendly, welcoming, and personable. Trever was my favorite! The drinks are also PHENOMENAL. I’ve come back several times since my first visit and constantly recommend Pete’s Tiki Tiki to anyone I can. Definitely check it out!
