Perry's Deli-Downtown San Rafael

Maybe I’m used to the one in Fairfax making nice size sandwiches . I rather go to Michael’s sourdough where I know I’m getting more bang for my buck. Charging 12 or 13 bucks for a sandwich with hardly any meat is where I draw the line . Sorry but I’m not payin extra for double meat when the deli nearby can make me a fat sandwich for about the same price !!!. When the price starts matching the size of the sandwich I wouldn’t mind being a regular .

Updated: Sourdough rolls and dutch crunch options added to the menu along with a great new signature sandwich menu. My wife and I split the sourdough pastrami and turkey fig. Both were fantastic. This is our new go-to weekend deli. Original: Finally made it here and I was impressed. I ordered a custom turkey-avo-swiss sandwich with lots of extras. First things first, they got my difficult order 100% correct! It was thoughtfully built with ingredients assembled evenly with edge to edge spreading of the condiments. It was wrapped neatly and then cut in half so it didn't fall apart in my hands. The flavors were fresh, meat and veggies all had a good flavor pop. Service was very friendly, our tables were clean prior to us sitting down and the sandwiches were delivered timely to us at our table. Very nice and appreciated these days when it seems like counter service ends with your cc signature. Nice that it's open Sundays too.

Newly remodeled, the space is bright and open now. Sandwiches are excellent. Give this place a try!

One of the best deli sandwich spots in San Rafael! Great options with amazing service.

Overpriced with old bread and a small selection of bread choices. When I asked for sourdough they gave me a sweet-roll and told me it was better than what I wanted. The new management is definitely a significant downgrade.

So happy to have this sandwich staple back open and under new management. Nice clean and spacious layout with a back patio area. The sandwiches are delicious and it's no wonder since this is now run by the great folks at LJ's Deli in Terra Linda. They just opened so be patient, it's well worth it!

Disappointing. I was told the chicken bacon jalapeno sandwich was worth coming back for. It was a pitiful sandwich and didn't contain a single jalapeno. I paid $12 and got a sandwich worth $3. Really unfortunate

We ordered the Turkey Bacon Cranberry and the Chicken Bacon Jalapeño both sandwiches were absolutely delicious! Great place with indoor and outdoor seating.
