Pepolino

Una experiencia complicada. Atraídos por las reseñas que mencionaban la calidad de su comida, decidimos hacer una reserva para ir a cenar. Nos llegó un mensaje diciendo que estaban 15 minutos atrasados. Cuando llegamos entonces 15 minutos después de lo pautado, nos dijeron q lamentablemente no tenían mesas adentro. Les dijimos que para eso habíamos reservado. Lejos de asumir su error, nos ofrecieron irnos o sentarnos en unas mesas afuera, en una especie de terraza en la vereda, cerrada y con estufa, pero que haciendo un frío espeluznante en la calle, tampoco nos resultaba tan atractivo. Lamentablemente era tarde, y no teníamos tiempo ya para buscar otro restaurante, así q decidimos aceptarlo. Comimos en la terraza. Durante la comida, empezamos a sentir un olor feo y escuchar ruidos. La noche se volvió una película (de terror), con grandes estrellas, ya que desde el otro lado del cerramiento veíamos a todos los protagonistas de Ratatouille haciendo una obra musical nivel Broadway. Una familia de al menos tres ratas estaba comiendo en un tacho de basura que estaba al lado del cerramiento. Decidimos pararnos y dirigirnos adentro del restaurante para avisarles. Su única respuesta fue “así es NY”. Por supuesto que no depende que de ellos que haya o no ratas en la calle, pero ser un poco empaticos con la situación sería esperable. Les dijimos que queríamos irnos y nos trajeron la cuenta. Obviamente sin ningún tipo de descuento a pesar de todas las adversidades. Costó 92 usd, habiendo ordenado una pasta para niño, un plato de pasta, dos sodas y un cheescake. La comida es rica, pero la experiencia de ir a comer afuera se trata también del trato que se recibe, y en Pepolini eso fue un desastre.

We found this spot walking in Soho. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the Tagliatelle with mushroom, raviolis, the grilled pulpo for an appetizer and the ricotta cheesecake for dessert. We even enjoyed the bread with the tomato flan. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive and the waiter was very nice. We will be definitely be returning.

Cute low-key Italian restaurant with good service. Unfortunately the food didn't meet my expectations, the rabbit meat in the pasta was overcooked and the sauce had too much parsley that made it difficult to actually taste the rabbit, this sauce also lacked salt. The veal ragu pasta was a bit too salty but it was a better choice than the rabbit. Pasta itself was good though, cooked just the right amount of al dente.

Honestly, for the price, the Valentine’s Day fixed menu was lackluster and seemed greedy for what you received. The spread for the bread was the best part. I’ll take my business elsewhere in the future.

Food is medium quality, the waiter is very annoying since the first minute you enter in the restaurant. So I'm not surprised to see the restaurant empty [Sunday]. I'm 7 months pregnant, with another baby but he didn't want to help me with the stroller because I left only 25$ of tips.. It should be an Italian restaurant, but no one is Italian there.
