The vibes are immaculate but thats besides the point. Tried about 8 different sliders and theyre all great, but the chicken sliders are superior to the beef IMO. The asian inspired ones were super good. The food AND booze are cheap. We went for a guys night and everyone was well pleased with the food. Not many places with a bang-for-buck ratio like this! Neeeed to go back

A penny for my thoughts about Pennies. This is a great neighbourhood bar just steps away from the Bellwoods park. It’s a bright yellow building , you cannot miss it. Have you heard of the saying don’t judge the book by its cover? Apply that analogy to this place, yes it’s not what you think. It’s actually a great place with friendly vibe, great staff some good food, and good drinks. Oh and if it’s a beautiful sunny day you will have the best of times on the patio, but you better have a lucky penny to find a spot. Personally I had a great experience and I am the one who is picky with OCD. I’ve had few meals here like Harlem chopped cheese, poutine tots, Korean fried chicken and I enjoyed them every time. Sure it may take long to get your food or drinks, but that’s every where and that’s the beauty of this industry. Pennies worth every penny to have a great experience among your friends, amigos, colleagues and maybe relatives. Update: I returned again with couple friends, I was not disappointed. Service was fun and friendly, atmosphere was lively and food was good too. My “friend” I’ll explain the quote… who embarrasses me every time we go to a restaurant did not complain, s/he complaines every time, and is even more picky than I am… s/he (trying to secure the identity ) did not complain and we all enjoyed the experience. I could add two more starts but go*gle won’t let me so here’s my extra stars ⭐️ ⭐️ .

Pennies- great drinks! Great vibes! Great sliders! The ambiance is very homey and always enjoy my time ☺️

Garage food and super expensive- the food was cold, then microwaved when we complained - no sauce on tots, the pizza was an over priced pizza pocket deep fried, the burgers dry and hard. it’s just a dive bar…
