A well known establishment and the principal evening restaurant of the Planter's Inn, the Peninsula Grill and a premium steakhouse serving various cuts of meats. A small dimly light bar in dark wood hues with cream accents along with a few banquets greets you before entering the main dining room richly decorated in creams and golds, in addition to a decent sized outdoor terrace when the weather is compliant. The menu's offering is typical to a steakhouse. Before beginning we were provided an amuse bouche of whipped feta cheese with a dab of honey and blackberry (surprisingly good but there could have been a bit more emphasis on the honey) and outstanding fresh made buns (these are must haves and a challenge not to ask for hundred's more). For our meal we shared a Classic Caesar Salad (very good) before diving into a special of the day freshly imported Wagyu Beef (4oz.) with a side of Creamy Mashed Potatoes (delicious...excellent offering and perfectly cooked) and another special, Pan Fried Flounder on Crab Fried Rice with a side of Swiss Chard (again, another excellent choice...both tasty and well cooked). We ended the meal with their world famous Ultimate Coconut Cake (6 layers of delicious white cake with creamed coconut...excellent). Our server, James, was terrific and we had an enjoyable banter with him for the entire evening...a true professional. In addition the meal was served quickly and perfectly cooked. Overall an excellent choice that were were very satisfied with. Worthy of a visit but reservations are essential. Enjoy!

Beautiful but loud dining room. Wanted this restaurant to be better. Server misinformed on items we were billed for. “Sauternes comes with Foie Gras appetizer, vegetable sides come with your entree”. Sommelier opened 2nd bottle of wine but took it away to breathe. She never returned. Server found wine and poured after entrees were served. She Crab soup good, soft crab appetizer a miss, Beef Short Rib well prepared but small portions. Swordfish disappointing. Filet Mignon returned for temperature, Ribeye unexceptional. Famous Coconut Cake was quite dry. Manager came to discuss billing. He suggested there was a misunderstanding. I told him that we did not have a misunderstanding. We had been misinformed by our server. I reduced the gratuity 50%, paid my bill and left. Highly recommend carefully reviewing your bill for accuracy. Dietary restrictions: Staff was helpful in accommodating GF guest.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Chris David & Jona were so attentive. The food was beyond amazing. We couldn’t be happier with how the night turned out. It was absolutely magical. Thank you Chris David & Jona for taking such great care of us and our family. And thank you Abby for helping us organize this wonderful night

The dishes I've tried here were all too salty. I've got a piece of coconut cake but it tasted too sweet. The service here is good, though average among fine dining services. Overall its not a pleasant experience because of the taste of the food here.

Food and atmosphere were incredible. The service was subpar for a $270 meal for 2 but maybe he was just having a bad day. Didn’t explain the menu or ask if we were there for a special occasion. Gave my wife a weird look like she was dumb when she asked if the salads were big enough to be an entree.
