Pelino's Pasta

I was in desperate need of pasta and this place hit the spot. It's a beautiful and intimate space, they is beautifully decorated. If you go I recommend sitting at the bar. I enjoyed watching my food be prepared. I originally chose this place because I wanted cacio e pepe but since it's a menu mainstay I decided to be adventurous and wasn't disappointed. We did the 3 course pre fixe and the portion sizes were perfect. Dietary restrictions: They are able to accommodate almost all restrictions in some way our another.

Servers were courteous, some of the flavor profiles were good. But overall service was very slow (maybe short staffed) and portion sizes were very, very small. For a $100 pp the tasting menu did not live up to the traditional service and experience one has come to expect to have at restaurants in other larger cities around the world offering this on their menus.

The connection between genuine attentive service and culinary masterpieces are unmatched at Pelino’s ! We recently had did the 7 course chefs tasting with wine pairings. The chef was able and willing to accommodate for a gluten allergy and our server Maria made us feel like family! Maria truly elevated this entire experience from sharing her passion and love for food and wine to being available for us during our visit! The tasting option for wine really enhanced an already amazing meal. The polenta dish literally made me tear up, and I’ve never had something so spectacular! The rich flavors and thought that goes into the pastas and sauces are as close to a Michelin star restaurant I may ever get to imagine or experience. Thank you Vinny and Christina for allowing us to experience a part of your home! Maria is absolutely amazing and if we could make reservations to sit at her tables we 150% would !

I must say parking is horrible. You haft to decide is parking worth going? After my night I would definitely say no. Very overpriced for pasta and wine no meats forced to eat dessert just not my type of place. Parking: Very confused question myself will I get towed? Hate that feeling.

Went to have a nice dinner with my partner for Valentines. (we did not go on valentines but a few days after). Our waitress was from Italy, so it felt like an authentic Italian experience. The food was to die for. I have heard portions are small, but I felt satisfied and happy. Would come again for another occasion. Parking: Side streets for parking, can be longer walk

This is a must go to. I was in Columbus on business and stopped in here for dinner one night. I sat at the bar which made me feel like I had such a personalized experience. Maria was incredible. She explained everything in the menu with such detail it was like listening to the most amazing food review. I would listen to her read the dictionary. I had the bruschetta alla vesuviana (so delicious, the nduja was perfect), the sciavatelli alla carbonara (so perfect, the guanciale was perfectly crispy) and the tiramisu served in a moka pot. The portion sizes were perfection. I was never rushed. I felt so taken care of. It was such a luxurious experience. 1000/10 recommend.

I really want to love this place, but I balance hits and misses. My first time the tomato bruschetta and the mezzaluna were major hits while the cacao e Pepe was mediocre (I’ll likely never love it without long noodles.) The second visit the appetizer was mediocre, and two of our pasta dishes - one was cold and the other … not one of the three of would eat, but the cacio e Pepe was On point. The saving grace was the chocolate dessert (the tiramisu exactly meets my expectations). With the courses menu, I find the value for the quality misaligned.
