What's going on here? I can never catch them open. I go on what is their scheduled open days with no luck. I've been going for over 70 years. Introduced to them by my uncle and grand pa. I think the kids have closed the books on this icon. I now live 350 miles away but stop by on my way in just by chance they are open. Asked a few friends to check in but no one seems to know what's going on. Time moves on I guess I need to also.

Came by on a Friday around noon time to get lunch and the place was closed. I could be wrong but it looked like it has been closed for some time. Needless to say I was disappointed as I have been excited to try this place and it'd be nice if the schedule was updated on here.

One of the kind bbq.

Disappointed. The sandwiches were salty yet lacked flavor, watery, mushy. A sauce would help a lot. This is the same pulled pork sandwiches I make from the crock pot, just throw it in and add sauce. Maybe they drained the sauce. It didn't seem to have any bbq essence at all or chunks of meat. It wouldn't be so bad, but for $8 each, it was a bit steep for the quality. The owners were very friendly and appreciative of the business. I just recall it being better when I visited way back when. The cole slaw was okay. They were out of the beans. I generally prefer to support local businesses, esp. if they've been around a long time, but they should taste their food before serving.

The best sandwich I’ve ever had
