This is one of the places that’s very easy to find if you’re driving on state road 7/ 441. Food is just what’s expected of a Haitian restaurant but could’ve tasted more authentic. Only concern is pictures can be different from what you’re actually getting, so make sure to confirm with the restaurant before you place an order!

So I placed an order for grio simple. I placed the order on my card. After further inspection of the menu, I realized that the lunch special meal comes with a soda. I had already paid for a soda with cash. So I asked the young lady server to reimburse me my five dollar cash since the drink was already included. She told me that she would not because the boss told her that if a customer fail to read the menu, it is their fault. I had to firmly asked her to either reimburse me or cancel the whole order. Once she saw that I would not budge otherwise, finally then she reimbursed me the five. Earning a negative review for $1.60. The food might be good, but the customer service is whack.

I ordered what was on their menu 2 pate kode chicken on DoorDash for pick up. The order was confirmed. When I go and pick it up I open it and see that it is spaghetti and not what I ordered so I bring it back. The lady in the front has a big attitude saying that today is Sunday and they don’t have pate so I asked her why did they confirm the order instead of canceling it that is theft. What they gave me cost less than what I paid. They decided to give me whatever they wanted instead of what i ordered. I had to go through DoorDash to get a refund. I am never ordering from this place again and I do not recommend any one to order from here. Since they are scamming.

I’ve tried many different Haitian restaurants but this one easily takes the cake 10/10 !! Everything is always so tasty & fresh !!!

I love their food. It's a bit pricey but it's definitely delicious.

This is such a wonderful restaurant. Not only do they have the best Griot I’ve ever had, their customer service is unmatched. I’m always greeted by beautiful smiles and friendly very sweet women in the front who are there to help. Highly recommend. Also one of the cleanest places I’ve been to period! I tell all my friends about this place constantly. Always highly recommend I’m editing this on January 8, 2024 to say that this place is so consistent and truly my favorite they always honor my specification requests and are always so friendly when I walk in I truly love coming here for my lunch Edit on 3-6-24 LOVE PEARL ❤️❤️❤️

Pearl of the island was referred to me by a family member. I loved the way they greeted us when we came in, I got the Pwason frit and it was very good, pikliz was amazing and plantains fried to perfection. Restaurant very clean. I would come came back whenever I’m in town.
