10 star experience. Food Service Atmosphere

Great food, great service, can’t miss. I’ve always enjoyed every meal I’ve had there and certainly plan on going again soon. I’ve been following the owner since she ran Salt Air Cafe and would try anything she was managing because she’s never disappointed. The people complaining about the change in owners as well as the issue with the gift cards seem to be conveniently missing the fact that the previous owner is the one who ignored (or possibly participated in) the gift card scam, which created the problem that the current owner is now going through hell to clean up. If you think temporarily losing the money from your one gift card is bad, imagine losing the money from hundreds, or even thousands of fake gift cards that were stolen from the restaurant by actual criminals and distributed. Because that’s what they’re dealing with right now

This was my 3rd time and will be my last! The 1st time was before Covid and I had a truly amazing meal with great service. The 2nd time, it seemed off....couldn't place my finger on it. Now, returning to give it a 3rd try, I was out with two other people. I agree with some of the other reviews, way too much sauce!!! Great food does not need to be swimming in sauce. My halibut was so fresh and delicous, but it, along with the brussel sprouts and carrots, were swimming in some thick coagulated dark sauce....totaly ruined the entire dish and caused the potato crust to become soggy. My coconut shrimp appetizer was also doused with sauce in the plate. If you are truly a "pioneer in clean farm-forward food" you should know that great food does not need all those sauces. Another salad was wilted, as if it had been dressed beforehand. And quite honestly, when you are paying $100/person without any liquor, you can go practically anywhere and get a much better meal. I know post Covid, things have changed, but so has ownership of Pearl in 2021, which may be the reason for the decline. It wasn't even as busy, totally different vibe. They better get their act together if they are going to survive in such a competetive market. Not worth it, at all!!

Food still very good but portion size has been reduced.
