PDK Southern Kitchen & Pantry

I was very disappointed in this place. There was nobody at the counter to take my order for quite some time. I believe it's because they're short staffed, which is unfortunate. My fiancée was treated with cordial politeness while I was seen as an annoyance. I asked for chicken wings and was told that they're not offered anymore. (Website needs updating!) I then needed one minute to decide (patience, anyone?) and this seemed to annoy the young male cashier. I hate to make this racial, but my fiancée is White and I am Asian with brown skin. She and her brother both received the friendly "yes ma'am/yes sir" gestures while I received nothing. This is very un-Christian and also totally unacceptable in 2024. As a believer, I will forgive and hope that they're up to doing better the next time around.

Sticky floors, too many kids running around, food was cold. Staff were friendly and fast though.

The fried chicken salad is exceptional! Request no onions if you don't like them.

It just wasn't good. The restaurant looked good when we walked in so we walked to the front and ordered. When we walked back to the seating area we couldn't find a table that wasn't dirty to very dirty. When we brought this to the team member who took our order she apologized but no one came out to get a table ready for us. We waited for a few minutes then just found the least dirty table we could find and sat down. A few minutes later she came out and started cleaning tables. The food came and my Guacamole burger I ordered had no guacamole on it. I let someone know and she went to the back and got someone who we think was a manager and he asked if anything was wrong. I told him do he went and got a side container of very cold like it was barely defrosted. Anyway I'm sure the burger would have been better had it came out right in the first place. Neither of us have ever seen anything like the dining room. When we sat down we even noticed more dirty tables and the floor under the tables were strewn with trash. It looked like the restaurant is understaffed to the point if neglect.

The stuff sticks out the most, they were very friendly.

Best banana pudding I’ve ever had. Burgers are pretty decent as well.
