I had to refinance my house to get a bagel sandwich and a cawfee from this place. Their liquid sugar kickstarts my heart, though, so it’s a wash. I wish I were a yuppie billionaire so I could get a Tequila Sunrise every morning.
40 minutes to “prepare” non-toasted bagels….
Bacon, egg & cheese on plain bagel had nice chew. Very good. Matcha latte was really good.
Twice now I have been burned by this place. First was because doordash didn’t deliver my food. This time it was the toast system. I ordered 2 bagels and 2 drinks. Apparently they ran out of lox for the bagels, but instead of cancelling the order the drinks went through. I walked all the way to the store before I was told they ran out of lox. I was not offered a refund. I will not be giving this place my business anymore.
Very nice people work there
Place is nice and clean and the quality is good. But Holy Mother of God do they take their own sweet time making your order. There was nobody there, no line, no rush of online orders and it still took them 10 minutes to make my drink. I watched them amble from task to task with zero sense of urgency, like they had all day and nothing to do.
Pros- large amount cream cheese Cons- Bagel burnt and dry. Vanilla latte extremely watered down. Just bad.
Still the best coffee in the area!
I've heard about the quality of their bagels, and was skeptical. It's a bit out of my way, so had not visited until yesterday at about 8am. At first I was not sure they were open - only two other customers were there. With three people behind the counter, there were no problems with service. On this day, there was no orange juice available, which was disappointing. This is clearly a management issue, and indicative of other potential problems which could relate to long term health of the business. The bagels ARE indeed excellent, which almost compensates for their high price. $6.99 including cream cheese, without tip included. At this price point, this isn't really something that would be in the range of a daily indulgence for me. Which is a shame because their bagels are far and away among the best Boston has to offer. The service was fair, not particularly warm or friendly. Perhaps not worth the 20% tip I provided.
