My go-to lunch spot for authentic Mexican food, taste just like my tio use to cook! Family owned and great service to say the least!
Excelente comida, la mejor hamburguesa de Los Angeles
Haven't ordered food (actually ordered and canceled). Server was extremely rude. No prices listed on the table menus, so you have to stand and look up at the menu above the counter. Stupid. Chips were served, without asking, even though they cost $3. It was cold. AC was high, even though it was a cold day. Music was playing loudly, and when I asked the server to lower the volume, she acted as she was doing me a favor, because another customer asked for high volume music.
First impressions were great, there was no one else in the restaurant but as soon as we walked in the lady at the register asked how we wanted to sit and there was 12 of us so she quickly proceeded to put a table together for us and along came the owner to help her out. Which not many owners even show their face. The food was great, it literally tasted home made. Portions are top tier for sure, especially in this economy! The chef/ owner said they’re his grandmas recipes which really touched my heart. He came out to check on us as we were finishing up and really showed he cared. Him and his sons staredted this business and you can tell he has dedication and is very proud, hope they make it far! The only thing I wish I would have said something about was the music, it felt like an antro (or club) in there and we all had our little kids including a baby. Hopefully that’ll change next time.
Worst chilaquiles ever. Didn't come with rice and beans. Was very dry. Sauce didn't have much flavor. No cheese. Definitely not worth the price. They didn't give me any salsa either. Won't return.
Micheladas are great Birria tacos are delicious Aguachiles the best Definitely returning
Best Mexican food I've yet discovered in SCV. Everything is fresh and the servers and manager are very friendly and passionate about this place!
