We came on a Sunday evening, I was in the area and craving some pasta (and didn’t want to walk all the way to the North End). The food was FIRE — my partner got the restaurant week menu (shrimp, raviolo, cod, pudding) and I got the focaccia, spaghetti al pomodoro, and a side of chicken. Phenomenal. Maybe the best Italian food I’ve had in Boston, and I’ve spent roughly the past 3 years living here (and I’ve tried plenty of North End restaurants). My partner really enjoyed the food as well. It’s not the classic vibes of the North End, but the service is good, the ambiance is lovely and it’s pretty quiet; it’s very easy to have a conversational and not need to speak too loudly. I want to come back if only for that focaccia and the spaghetti. Recommend!
Food was gross and Carbonara was trash!!!
I got the pesto ravioli and it was amazing. The manager actually sat with us for a long time talking to us about Boston which was amazing of him.
We were so thrilled to be able to dine at Pasta Beach Boston since we had just dined at the Newport location a few days prior. My son had linguini with seafood and was extremely happy. My husband had the ribeye which was incredible. And my picky six year old had a pizza margherita that he finished for breakfast cold while waiting to board our flight home the next morning. He loved it! Thank you to the Ropolo family for your hospitality and amazing locations.
The waitress (cannot remember he name unfortunately,) was incredibly nice and helpful. However, it was about 50 degrees in the restaurant (in January.) We asked the waitress if the heat was broken, because if it were, well that stinks but what are ya gonna do? She said it wasn’t, she’s asked the manager multiple times to turn it up, and he wouldn’t. You could see even the waitstaff was shivering. Every table in the restaurant had their jackets on throughout dinner. The waitress actually brought out kettles of boiling water to the table just to help warm us up a bit (much appreciated.) Also, they served ribeye all sliced up like it was a London broil…??? Only went because we were given a gift card. Needless to say we won’t be returning. It was one of the more dumbfounding experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
