Delicious!!! Got the pancit palabok, sisig pork, and the bangus sisig for take out. The pork was a bit dry, but maybe if we had in house that wouldn’t be an issue.
Lechon is not fresh. Kare-kare tasted like old! And DON'T order halo-halo. They charge $9 and not much in it! NOT WORTH IT!
SF East Bay. I wanted to like this restaurant so much but no such luck: * crispy binagoongan - ironic how this dish could have used more, you guessed it, bagoong * pork sisig - I’ve definitely had my share of forgettable sisig but a bad one? Unfortunately, Parekoy you have this honor. While the flavor was there, the meat was so tough we felt like we were eating jerky * pinakbet - the only dish we liked from our takeout, authentic tasting Disappointing overall & no repeat visit.
Friendly staff and great location. The store was tidy and the food I tried was good, a bit salty for my liking but good and on point. Also because most dishes from my region (Visayas) are usually a bit more sweeter. Regardless, this is still a nice place to visit if you are craving filipino cooking and in the area. I highly recommend yo try out the flan!
Our party of five had a nice weekend lunch at Parekoy. We ordered shrimp sinigang, tocino, pork sisig, lechon kawali, and dinugan with a bowl each of steamed and garlic rice. Everything was good, but we did find the sinigang a little too salty. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was helpful as it was our first time visiting Parekoy. Overall a nice Filipino restaurant. I will be back to check out their all-day breakfast.
