Staff was friendly. I was one of three people in the entire restaurant during dinner. EXTREMELY overpriced and the sides looked as if they had been sitting there all day. Go to Soulman’s, Spring Creek, or anywhere but Pappas.

I drove over an hour to get to this location because this is the only nearest location. A year ago when I first came the food was fresh, hot and great! Before I moved, I would enjoy papas all the time with family. Today was a disappointing experience! I drove over an hour, was extremely friendly and joked with the guy who took my order about how I drove so far just to eat here for my birthday. I noticed they even put a cookie in my bag which was sweet but the food was HORRIBLE. It was cold, not fresh like it’s been sitting out for a while and had an awful smell. I couldn’t consume it because I was scared I’d get sick. $60 and an hour drive down the drain; I am so upset! I called to speak to the general Manager Robert who tried to give me “bbq etiquette” stating it’s not going to be hot. I am not blind to know that I literally just received the food and it was extremely cold, not even warm and it was mushy and had an off smell to it, something wasn’t right and I am not risking my stomach for “bbq etiquette”. Waiting to see what Robert does to make things right because as of right now; I will never go back!

I live in Mesquite and traveled 40minutes 1hr 20 minutes round trip, to get 2 baked potatos brisket and some ribs, when I place my order I stated that I wanted 2 pounds of moist brisket, they give my order quick and I was ready to go but I decided to check on my brisket and yes my suspicion was right, they gave lean , I asked the cashier and the manager in a good manner agreed to help change my order and make it right, everything was ok until I got home and when we open the baked potatoes, they gave me the wrong order on the potatoes too!!! Clearly cashier had a problem of understanding orders !!! We used to go there often, but is frustrating to have to check the order all the way through to be sure everything is right. If clientele doesn’t trust you , will be hard to survive.

Edited: We came here again. The best BBQ in Dallas 2004 The same great quality and service —- The food is good but its cold. We tried the brisket and the sandwich. The potato salad is the best side to order. They have loaded baked potato with brisket is the best, must try it. I will come again for the baked potato with brisket. They need to work on serving the food warmer. Also, taking the order. When we was ordering we spoked with 3-4 different staff members. They are not organized There is plenty of free parking The restaurant was empty despite its large space
