They got my order wrong then the waiter told me it was correct. I had to speak with a manager in order to get it all straight. I usually have a great experience at this location. Not this time I was highly disappointed and ruined my date night with my wife.
I was so disappointed. I have been to other locations where the service and atmosphere were so much better. I brought a friend from Louisiana here because I thought he would enjoy the food. We had to wait 30 min with at least 10 tables empty on the main floor. Once we were seated our server seemed nervous and unsure of himself. It was obvious that he was new. We ordered Shrimp Coctail, which he forgot the name of by the time he brought the dish to us. Our main dishes were lack luster and absolutely not up to par for people from Louisiana. We immediately requested our food to go. In addition to the unsatisfactory food, I ordered two cocktails, both of which were like drinking battery acid. My throat and tongue are still sore an hour later. Disappointing and a waster of $150.
I've been a guest at this location many times before. Both for personal or corporate events. On my last visit, there were 15 of us. The food was good but the service was awful. It took over one hour for the waiter to come take our order. The place was not busy at all, although it was lunch hour. The entire lunch took almost 3 hours. Time that we didn't have; all of us had to go back to the office. Disappointing service and this will deter me from ever hosting any event at this location.
Great place. Best piece of salmon I've had in many years. I had the Salmon Alexander on the recommendation of the bartender. I was able to sub sauteed spinach for the rice. The food was outstanding and the bartender was very professional. Would not hesitate to go back. Wish they had Pappadeux's in St. Louis.
