Papa Turney's Old Fashion BBQ

BBQ was pretty good. I'm biased because I smoke my own, but for restaurant bbq, it was good. Ribs had good flavor, and the pulled pork was amazing. I'd come back to this place. Looks like it's a fun place when they have music.

SO, THIS PAST WEDNESDAY NIGHT WAS MY FIRST TIME THERE, FOR ME, IT WAS AMAZING, LIVING ROOM TYPE SETTING, LISTENING TO PEOPLE JAM, EVERYONE WAS SO NICE, THE CATFISH WAS AMAZING, FOR A 64 YEAR OLD NANA, ITS THE PLACE.

I walked in and loved the atmosphere. I took 1 bite and told my husband we were coming back. Amazing food and amazing atmosphere

Good food and lots of it. We went at lunch and it was very quiet, but nice.

I love the waterfront view. Ate outside on the porch. Staff very friendly. My wife loved her pulled chicken sandwich. I found the brisket and ribs okay. The Mac n Cheese and BBQ beans were really good. Catfish smelled great, but we didn't have any.

Visited with friends (we’re Nashville locals) on Saturday night jam session and experienced the magic! Barbecue and sides are mouthwatering. The atmosphere is that of walking into a house party of extended family. The musicians feel like old friends. There’s a lotta love in this place. It’s like a balm. Just go!

AMAZING from the outside beauty of the docks to the amazing decor of the inside . The FOOD OMG catfish is on point so much the baby who don't like anything was grabbing it off the plates faster than we could feed him.. the Ribs man the melt off the bone so soft you could eat the bones n i almost did.... Such a huge amount of chicken wings had to share pulled pork Sammy oh my... So what I'm saying is this food was the best I had on my week long trip to TN. And it will be the first place I go to when I come back to TN... The owner came out to talk to us. Really nice man told us he n his wife started this business n they are doing an amazing job of it ..They have live music . outdoor seating with the plastic around deck so it stays nice during the winter ... you just gonna have to come on by n check them out it is well worth the drive...

I always feel like I'm at home when I go here. You are greeted at the door people are kind. Here you don't have to worry about people not getting along, everyone gets along with one another I love the atmosphere. The food is amazing. The Bands are fabulous, and what I enjoyed the most is seeing the young people playing instruments singing Etc. The prices are reasonable. I could just go on and on I love this place.

It was amazing the service was so kind and you get a perfect view of the lake I will definitely come back here again❤️
