My coworker and I came on a Sunday evening. I was looking for a good risotto. This place was a bit quiet. With no wait compared to other places, I can't really complain. Anyway, we shared the seafood risotto and the lasagna. I care a lot about risotto being properly made (although I'm not a connoisseur... I just know what the process is supposed to be and tasted good ones) and also any pasta being fresh. This was just what we were looking for. Good portions, hot out of the kitchen, perfectly seasoned, and fresh. We're substantial eaters and the price was pretty good for great quality food. Btw, I saw some people say online that you can't make fresh risotto quickly, and I heard that it's possible to do some prep in advance. I think my risotto was pretty decently fresh.
I'd rate my experience at Panza a 6/10. We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time, and given cold bread at the start, but our server was attentive and took the time to explain the menu items to us. Important thing to keep in mind - they charge an automatic gratuity (20%) at this restaurant. Our server did not explain this to us and so we ended up double-tipping, which seemed pretty dishonest. Automatic gratuity isn't a bad thing, but it should be the restaurant's policy to explain that to patrons at the start of their meal.
Enjoyed the chicken masala and my son like the chicken broccoli ziti. It is cozy and warm. It felt comfortable like I was having dinner in someone’s home.
Best restaurant I have ever been to, service and food top notch. I love little places like this, they focus on the customers, food quality and it shows.
Wow .. if you are a veal lover this is the place to go! Great prices also
we loved panza! the food was DELICIOUS and the service was great. our two waiters were so attentive. they seated us right on time for our reservation with no problems. i highly recommend the bruschetta and the mushroom spring rolls. the spinach and ricotta ravioli was delicious, and my party also enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli and the penne with chicken and broccoli. Vegetarian options: spinach and ricotta ravioli, bruschetta, mushroom spring rolls, butternut squash ravioli
Entering the restaurant was a bit awkward because if you arrive at your reservation time, you're waiting in the entryway with other waiting parties while they prepare the reserved tables until the host opens the door and inevitably someone else with a reservation waltzes in and expects to be the first person the host seats because they assume the other eight people in the entryway are walk ins. The bruscetta is highly recommended if you're looking more for flavor over the classic take on bruscetta. The toasted edges of the crust, combined with the balsamic glaze, basil and goat cheese really lit up the flavor profile. White wine Mussels didn't add or take away from the overall experience. I expected the pasta to be made in house. It's definitely not. The lobster ravioli sauce carried the dish rather than the lobster or the ravioli. Chicken picatta sauce was bitter and the artichokes were cut too big. Parmesan cheese might as well be kraft brand. The service was super fast! I couldn't have asked for better quality and speed from our server.
Really good food & attentive & friendly staff- they could not be more helpful. I was a single diner midweek from UK & found the prices reasonable for Brits . Drink range & prices $10 a big glass of branded wine. I had the lobster ravioli. Perfection on a plate.
My absolute favorite restaurant!!
