How is this place still in business? First I want to say that we've given this place multiple chances, and every time we've been we are the only people there - including one very pretty weekend day which we found bizarre. The location has so much potential, but unfortunately that's all it has. They could do so much with the space, but it's been reduced to a deserted junk hole. The drinks were never good, the food bland. But the location is good for kids so that's why we've given it so many trys. The third time we came, I had two margaritas and was deathly ill. Puking everything up and useless the next day. I've never been so sick after margaritas - I literally felt drugged. And I can hold down my alcohol so I was very confused. I messaged them about the experience and questioned the amount of alcohol in each margarita and never heard back. The fourth time we went to celebrate a big moment for my husband and he chose this spot for the last time. He likes Mexican food and I suggested we go somewhere else but again, we have a 4&5 year old and it's good for parents with kids. My husband usually eats everything on his plate but on this visit he barely touched his burrito. He said the chicken tasted bad and he was worried about getting food poisoning. We ordered one quesadilla, and they double charged us for it. My boys didn't want to eat any of their food because they overheard a table nearby saying the food was terrible (I wish I was making this up - they only told us they heard this after we'd ordered and gone through the whole horrible experience). I also ordered a mojito due to my last experience with the margarita (I wasn't taking my chances. It has pretty much ruined margaritas for me). The mojito was awful, didn't drink it. Asked for something else which was also bad. Left it at the table full. The waiter was nowhere to be found after he initially delivered our food... it took us SO long to get out of the restaurant and we were ready to leave almost immediately. Our whole celebratory evening felt very dampened. But at least our kids had fun in the sand box. We'll never be returning. I hope this place becomes something else eventually. Would make a good bar and live music spot!

Enjoyed a great family dinner at Paloma tonight and loved playing mini golf with the kids. Love the outdoor activities available after dinner.

Atmosphere is cool and unique. Food needed upgrades. Pretty sure it was tostidos chips and mission tortillas chips. Could use a lot of improvement to really match the unique atmosphere.

Freshly made food, good taste. Really kind crew. We came back and the service was terrible. Every plate we ordered came wrong. It was terrible.

Molcajete mar y tierra is a must try! Their salsa is delicious with their warm chips. Staff was very hospitable and attentive with their tables. I highly recommend this place plus it's just beautiful!

My prediction is that this location will have closed or be under new ownership within a year. Visited this location on a Friday for dinner. My partner and I were the only people there. I think that was a warning sign. Friday - dinner time - no other customers. Firstly the good news, the young lady serving us was great. Fantastic friendly service and I wish her well. First impressions were not good. We were handed menus that were filthy. Mine had food stains on it. They bring chips and salsa to the table and the Salsa is actually very good. That is the only piece of food that I can recommend. I had the Carnitas tacos and they were not good at all. Anyone from around these parts who has eaten at Flora's or Mr Chingon will know good Carnitas when they try them. These were not good at all. The refried beans were not good either. Typically, with refried beans they are smashed. Not these, they were mostly whole beans. The final frustration for me was getting the check and finding a charge for something I had not ordered. After asking the waitress what this charge was for, she explained that it was a charge for paying by Credit card. Turns out they charge you for using a Credit Card. That is super frustrating. I decided to pay cash and then they did not have the exact change available and had to round it up. So it ended up costing them instead of me. This is one big disappointment and a darn shame. Its in a great location and could be a really great place to hang out but its never going to survive without some big changes. Want to see a similar location that does thrive, go visit Hays County Store not many miles from here. On a Friday evening it is packed and you will have to wait for a table. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space for kids to run around safely.
