Great cuban food in Fort Lauderdale. Wr started with the mariquitas (plantain chips) and mojo. That was really good, I would order this every time. Chips were freshly made, and the mojonwas just right. We had the Churrasco, and it was delicious! Their green sauce that goes on the steak just compliments the juicy and wonderfully seasoned steak. We also had then cheese stuffed chicken and rice. Was also very good! Had a sangria and a mojito, and both were great. This place does not disappoint.
We were 4 going there for their happy hour specials and a meal. Once we were seated, we were informed that the happy hour specials are only at the bar. The waitress went to check if they would serve at the table. They were willing to serve our drinks but not the tapas. So we moved to the bar. We ordered 3 mojitos and a cielo as well as 2 orders of empanadas (2 per order, each cut in half), 1 croquetta (4 per order) and 1 order of fiesta tostones (2 per order). The food was very good, specially the empanadas. We then moved back to our table and 2 other people joined us at this point. We ordered our meals, and the 2 that joined us ordered tapas. Happy hour was over so they ordered off the regular menu. I was very surprised to see that the plate of tostones for $12 had 4 of them on it. So, with the happy hour special we saved a big $2. Had we known, we would have just stayed at our table! For our mains, I had the lamb shank, chilendron de carnero. It was served in a tasty tomato sauce, very tender, delicious. It came with white rice (boring) and sweet plantains. My husband had the seafood stew, enchilado de mariscos. It was served in a deep bowl, full of different seafood and fish. It was very tasty. It also came with the same sides. We were all happy with our meals. The service was great except for the moving around, that's why I took away 1 star.
