Ozzie's Good Eats

We love the GAR restaurants, but this one is my least favorite. Recommend they retrain their hostess. We arrived at 11:42 for a weekday noon reservation. The hostess replied that we would be seated closer to our reservation time!?!? I have never heard a reply like that from any hostess stand at any restaurant, ever!!!? Our server was great though. The food, as always, was delicious.

We had lunch at this Great American Restaurant in Fairfax some time ago, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was perfect, and we had a friendly server who knew the menu well. The restaurant has an old-world decor with period murals and paintings depicting an Italian parade in New York City. Lamps resembling old gas lights and classic-style light fixtures create a unique ambiance. The Hickory Smoked Baby Ribs were finger-licking good, and the fried calamari and lobster bisque were also delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant for its great food, service, and atmosphere!

Get the bread for $1 Maggie salad great (ask for warm goat cheese vs cold), both of us could have just had that and been happy. Short smoke salmon was great Bread pudding was good Tex Mex egg rolls were good I'd skip the beef tip pasta.

The culinary experience was satisfactory, although the ribs exhibited a distinct resemblance to those potentially obtainable from a Chili's establishment. They lacked any remarkable qualities and were excessively charred, accompanied by an overwhelming amount of barbecue sauce that overshadowed the meat itself. Additionally, the excessive use of liquid smoke detracted from the overall flavor profile. The service provided by our waiter was lacking in attentiveness, as he appeared more preoccupied with socializing than fulfilling his duties to us as patrons. Considering the expenditure of approximately $100 for two individuals, the value received did not adequately justify the cost incurred.

This is your typical upscale American diner. Service is excellent and the food is good. We all wait impatiently for the hot delicious rolls. Just a nice cozy place for family dinners or even first dates.
