Tenders were cold when they were brought to the table ,like they were precooked and just dipped in sauce when a order is placed. Honestly that was the only issue
What's the point of being opened until 9pm if they're just sitting inside on their phones with the door locked claiming their closed. Are they getting paid for the last hour they are opened because we came at 8:15pm...
Literally just picked up an ol boy box 10 minutes ago. The breading on the tenders is under seasoned and almost non existent. Fries were ice cold. The dipping sauces I was charged extra were no where to be found. The coleslaw is warm and overly bitter. The only thing that was decent was the Texas toast. Wouldn't surprise me if they gave me an old order that had been sitting around for the last hour.
Disappointing experience at Otters. In the past I have enjoyed going to Otters when I was in the area, but not my most recent experience last night. When I arrived a young lady came over to the counter to take my order wearing a hoodie (with the hood on her head) and men's pajama pants. I placed my order that included grilled chicken. When my food was brought to me I was notified the grilled chicken equipment wasn't working and they gave me fried if that was ok (I had chose to come here because they had grilled chicken), but at that point I just went with it. Fries were cold, chicken wasn't particularly fresh. I went to get a refill of my tea and they were dumping it out (at 7:45?). They supposedly close at 9, but you would have thought 8 by the way they were cleaning up (that's my suspicion as to why the grilled chicken wasn't possible). I'm moving to the neighborhood and was looking forward to being closer to Otters, but after last night's experience don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
I picked up a carry out here about a month ago of their large chicken tenders. This was approximately 8 o’clock when they closed at 9 o’clock, so not right before closing time. When I place the order, I received the chicken in about 60 seconds or less that should’ve been my first clue that it was old and was sitting around for a while. However, I was in a hurry, so I just left the store. When I get home, I noticed the chicken was old, completely overcooked and dried out. It was not even edible. I was shocked because I thought this place had better food and that the chicken would be very good. It was so bad and we could not eat it but I decided I was actually going to reach out to the restaurant and ask for a replacement or refund leaning towards a refund because I can’t believe they would serve me a meal in that condition and charge me over $30. The other thing I noticed when I got home is that I was charged an extra 9% inflation charge, which if they’re going to charge this they should just update their menus not try to slip it in to their customers. I decided to email Customer Service and explain the situation. I received an email back from somebody that claimed to be the president of the company offering a refund. I responded back that that would be fine, but I never heard anything else after that despite following up again another time. I’m shocked that somebody would actually reach out and then not follow up? I’m also further shocked that they would serve food in that condition there were not very many people in the restaurant and again it was not right before closing, so I would not have expected them to be that old sitting around. They clearly did not want to fire up the fryer and make another batch so they gave me old food. I really wanted to like this place is I’d like to support local restaurants but this one seems they have very poor quality and lacking and Customer Service unfortunately. I waited a couple months to post this review because I know everybody’s busy and I thought it could possibly be resolved but I’ve decided to post it since I do not think I’ll be hearing back from management at this point.
Place is disgusting, undercooked jumbo soggy chewy wings, some still a little pink. I ate as much of the outside that I could too not be a complete waste. Do not waste your money here…
Food is always fresh and tastes great. Staff are friendly and revise great service. Parking: Plenty of parking around it.
Service was great but I need to put a little more effort into presentation and quality of their product it was very disappointed simple 10 piece with fries should look like the picture they need to change the oil wouldn't recommend it I'll give them a few months to get really in the swing and improve on what they got going on
So I come here often and enjoy the food for the most part. I like that it gives young adults/teenagers a place to work. Very neighborhood feel. However I don’t understand ordering ahead. Being told my order would be ready in 10 minutes. Getting here 20 minutes later and having to wait 25 more minutes for my food to come out. Currently waiting with three other people ahead of me. This happens every time however this has to be a record wait time for a pre-ordered meal. If I order ahead I expect to walk-in and pick up my order and go.
