Otafuku Restaurant

Maybe the move is to go for dinner but our lunch experience was only so-so. Vinegar noodles were very good but nothing remarkable about the soba,tempura, or katsudon. Lots of great authentic choices in the area and this one didn’t live up to the others we have tried. Dining room also had very little character.

Nowhere indicated the need to make a reservation ahead of time. So imagine my disappointment after making my way over there and not being able to dine. The website is a link to the menus so I’m assuming I can only make a reservation over the phone. I decided to try calling to make a reservation: 1st call - dial tone, 2nd call - no answer… Parking is non existent and the entrance is incredibly narrow, blocked off by chairs. I’m not sure I’d be interested in going back regardless of the food quality.

Had an early lunch and we took a guest from Miejer. She throughly enjoyed it!!!

ここは古くからある日本のお蕎麦屋さんです。よく通わせて頂きました。接待にも個人的にも。お店の方は日本人の方々ですが、もちろん英語も問題ありません。昨日久々に利用しましたが、お客様が日本人以外の方々が8割。お蕎麦が認知されて来ています。私はお蕎麦はもちろんですが、定食の生姜焼きが大好きです。そこに付いてくるスパゲッティサラダが大好物です。メニューにはないのですが、注文すると出てきます。

hidden gem in gardena, incredible lunch specials

Love eating here! Portions are large and all the food tastes so great. Parking: I suggest going earlier to park in the parking lot or find street parking. Usually have spots in front of the store but I think the street park times are restricted.

I love this place so much. We BALLED out this nice and drove out from the westside to give this gem a whirl.
