Celebrating anniversary. We received a nice card and complimentary desert.

Ostra is on the Riverfront so you can choose to be outside or inside. We got the best table…inside but right by a window. Thank you Jorge (George) who continued to be the BEST waiter we have had in ages. He was not only attentive to our every need but he also had an astute ability to make food recommendations for both of us. The meal was superb and the entire experience was memorable.

The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal! Our server, Youmna, was so pleasant and had the best personality! She recommended the best dishes and we loved them all! Thank you Youmna!!!

Wonderful dishes! Blackened redfish and halibut, in particular, perfectly matched with creative and inspiring sides. Many thanks to Yaya for impeccable service. Was so nice to sit outdoors alongside the river walk and observe the sights and sounds. Ostra is a San Antonio seafood gem.

I sat at the bar and had PEi oysters that were fantastic and the Hamachi. Perfect light late dinner.

Went to celebrate my friend’s 60th birthday. Arrived early for our reservation so decided to wait inside with a glass of wine from the bar. Restaurant had a fishy smell inside that was a bit off putting and we honestly thought about leaving but then we were told our table outside was ready, so we stayed. Hostess, bar server and our table server were all very kind and attentive. No complaints on service. There was also a hand signed birthday card waiting at our table which was a nice touch. Food was ok. My friend had the halibut. Fish cooked nicely. Only 2 small strips of broccolini, a few pickled carrots and cauliflower rice that was underwhelming, and she didn’t care for the sauce. Her meal was also a mixture of warm and cold items which she found odd. I had the Blackened Redfish and substituted brussel sprouts for the creamed spinach. I don’t even think there was one whole brussel sprout on my plate. There was one half in tact and a few other leaves scattered. The fish was cooked well, but under seasoned for “blackened”. The skin was left on and only crispy around the edges, middle of skin was undercooked and a bit off putting due to texture. The grits and sauce were nice but the sad roasted tomato on top was not. While we were there, the table next to us sent all of their food back and left and the table behind us complained about how long it was taking for their food to come out. The one shining star of the whole evening was the pistachio ricotta cake…which was complimentary for my friend’s birthday. Quality and quantity of our food and wine did not measure up to the prices charged. We both said we would not return for a meal there, but agreed we’d go back for a slice of that Pistachio cake.

The food was good. A little pricey. Not all the food came out at as warm of a temp that we'd have preferred. The service was good but could have been better for this price point. The atmosphere was great, we sat outside. The cauliflower steak dish was a bit disappointing as it was Luke warm and mediocre. The halibut was well prepared. The Burrata arugula salad was excellent.

Beautiful, right on the water. Not a lot of choices but the breakfast was good!

I went for brunch on Sunday and the food was tasty. The place seemed a bit empty and still it took a while for our food to get to our table. Our server Rodrigo was very helpful and professional.”

This restaurant was so good. They gave such good bread and good butter. The waiters at the waiters were so good they were. They were just so awesome and thank you for serving us food actual food
