Walking into the beautiful dining room, it is clear they take pride in their business here and intend to impress. The five star service and excellent food provide the proof. I always look forward to dinner here.
Food was exactly what I was looking for. Classic Italian with a twist. Great menu and good if limited in choice cocktails.
Best Italian Restaurant near Gaslamp Quarter, in the heart of Downtown San Diego, CA. The seafood is delicious and the portions are worth your money. Make sure you try out the Tiramisu cake and cappuccino, which were really good. Wheelchair accessibility: My friend was on a wheelchair and they accommodated her well. We were really grateful. Thank you.
I don't like giving negative reviews but our experience here was awful. The Caprese salad was made with grocery store tomatoes and buratta that was not fresh. My leg of lamb over risotto was a huge hunk of tasteless meat over what looked more like yellow rice. But the worst part of the experience was how little the waiter cared. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by how a server reacts when you ask him/her to take away an entree that has barely been touched. In my case, he said nothing, indicating he either knew how awful the food is or didn't care enough to ask what was wrong. Either way disgusting and shameful for a $130 tab. Stay away!
I came here early tonight because it was rainy and I didn't feel like trekking over to Little Italy. I was in pursuit of linguini with clams, and I was so happy to find some right by my hotel! The pasta was quite tasty, although my taste buds personally would've loved a touch more salt. However, the bread stole the show for me. Hot, fluffy and fresh from the oven with a generous tub of butter to go with it! I had to force myself to stop in order to scarf down my dinner. But when I asked the waiter if he would package it up for me to go, he threw in an extra loaf and a new tub of butter for me. So now I'm chilling in my hotel room snacking on bread and m butter while I write this review. Amazing. 10/10
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pasta available and yummy
We enjoyed our food here but the service was not great. We had to wait close to 20 mins and had to snag a waiter ourselves before we could get service. Employees walked all around us as we were seated centrally but no one would serve us.
