I landed in San Francisco and was completely famished and this place had a zero minute wait time. The service was so-so from our server, primarily because I’m not partial to indifferent mannerisms. However, the back wait staff was wonderful and so was the Maitre’D. The Hamachi dish I had was subpar to say the least, and I would not recommend it and sadly the Bronzino taste like burnt nothing. After sending both dishes back initially, I ordered the lobster and it was superlative! It was tender and delicious. The mac & cheese, prepped gratin style, is incredible. I think that alone probably helps you select your entrée choices. The Albariño with the lobster is an excellent pairing, and perhaps the Dungeness crab might be a great starter option. The seats are a win-win and chefs kiss for comfort.
Delicious steak, great sides, and the wait staff were amazing!
This restaurant is amazing. Beautifully decorated, amazing food, and a great wait staff. I went here for a meal with fellow co-workers and the entire experience was amazing. The cheesy bread was to die for, the calamari was top notch, the French onion soup was delicious, and all the sides were perfect, especially, believe it or not, the carrots. I ordered the bone in ribeye, which was expensive but well worth every penny. If I'm going to spend $90 on a steak, it better be the best steak I've ever had and it absolutely was. I will forever compare any steak I've ever had to this one. If you are in San Francisco, you need splurge and to go to those restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
I ordered the Akaushi ribeye, which is like a Japanese Wagyu expecting it to be amazing. But it wasn't. Even with the a poivre sauce (extra.charge) it still lacked flavor. It was a slow Sunday night so our waiter also doubled as the bartender. He was okay but lacked the polish of what you'd expect of a waiter from a high-end Steakhouse. On a positive note, the kitchen split our french onion soup into two cups which was nice of them. If I'm ever back in San Francisco looking for a steak dinner, I'm going to try Harris's.
The steaks are great, and service is outstanding by Luis. Paola is a wonderful host.
Outstanding food and extenstensive wine list in a swank yet comfortable setting. Top notch service and friendly owners.
5 stars for the entire process of planning a dinner party for 12. Richard, the manager, was amazing, responsive, helpful, and on the day of dinner, he was short staffed that evening and waited on our Christmas dinner himself with his assistant. We appreciated his fast service, great suggestions, and dinner was delicious. If you're coming for steak, rib eye regular or dry aged rib eye, you're in for a treat. My pork chop was slightly overcooked, but the flavors were there. Their playlist for music was fun. We were jammin', and the room for large parties was perfect and huge, so everyone was comfortable and not stuck together. French onion soup was my favorite for the evening. They make their own bread there so every bite we extra good. Cheese bread was good really good, crab cakes were tiny but delicious, calamari was fried perfectly with good dipping sauces. Everyone loved their meal and was impressed. I really wish their desserts were better tasting. They were just OK. Richard did give them options for adding different sauces like chocolate or caramel instead of strawberry sauce for their cheesecake. Which was very accommodating. He was amazing, packed everyone's leftovers, and organized them so nicely. So everyone can finish their steaks for breakfast. This is a great place for dinner. Safe, clean, friendly, and delicious.
Frozen food, minimal service and poor atmosphere. We went there for a birthday and there was no single word for celebrations from the staff.
