I went this morning to buy a chocolate chip bread loaf and complimentary hot chocolate that had been posted on Instagram. I was told that this bread is no longer available and the hot chocolate offer is not being honored. The staff looked miserable. Very disappointing.
I recommend that you always toast the bagels, otherwise really hard and not enjoyable.
The bar for pastries in the $5+ tier in this neighborhood is very high. Orwashers is very good, but it doesn’t quite measure up to the alternatives at the same price point. Jelly donut filling was outstanding, but the donut itself was somewhat dry and dense for a yeast donut. Likewise the ring glazed. The sticky bun was delicious, but uneven, with the bottom half lacking filling and flavor.
Unfortunately lost our order in a morning rush and were not very helpful. Eventually got it after 45 minutes.
Can't speak for the coffee, as they were so slow and backed up I didn't want to wait to get any, but I tried a chocolate scone and almond croissant, neither were fantastic. The croissant especially was dry without much actual almond flavor. The scone was fine, but not worth waiting in line and dealing with the grumpy staff on a Saturday morning around 10am. I wouldn't actively avoid this place, but if you see a line, maybe keep walking somewhere else.
Prices have gone up significantly, service is worse, and they're more stingy than ever with quantity inside sandwiches. With the price increase, couldn't they put at least more than a tablespoon of peanut butter inside their PB and Honey sandwich.
