This used to be a good Chinese take out, but thar was 5 years ago. The qualty of the food is very bad. Dried out and undercooked fried rice. Burnt to a crisp chewy spare ribs. I would not even feed to the dogs. The Won ton soup was ok. Always have to pay extra just to add scallions and roast park. I'm not going back there anytime soon. Maybe when they sell orget new management. It appears that they no longer offer sushi either. From now on I will go to China pavilion on Pines or China One in Sunset Lales.
Place gets 5 stars. A lot of great food, with wide menu options, very quickly made, and for a very reasonable price.
I had rice with shrimp made for 10 people, they made it with parboiled rice, a few pieces of vegetables and some shrimp. It is the WORST rice friend shrimp I have ever eaten in my entire life. Don't even think about buying it. Mande hacer un arroz con camarones para 10 personas, lo hicieron con arroz parboleado, unos pedacitos de vegetales y unos camarones. Es el PEOR rice friend shrimp que me he comido en toda mi vida. Ni se les ocurra comprarlo.
Good for take out. Not a place to eat in. Always good food.
Prompt delivery, consistent food.
Over priced food that have lost its taste over time as compared to 6 years ago when they were my GO TO spot. Just order a pork fried rice and you'd get my point.
Ordered on Uber Eats and received a $5 adjustment fee even though I didn't add anything extra to my order. I guess they helped themselves for a $5 tip?
Although Orient Chef has a few tables in the front, it is mainly a take out establishment. The food is relatively inexpensive for the area but the portions have gotten smaller lately. This has been our take out of last resort in the past, when we were running late and could not get seating in a regular restaurant. However, lately the food seems to have gone downhill. The beef quality used to be at least average, but now it is barely edible. The gentleman who is the owner/manager doesn’t even acknowledge anyone, even though we always say hello. He just seems to be an introvert who would rather not be spoken to, although he does speak English. If he were to ever speak to customers, he would realize the strategy of saving money by providing poor quality meat is not working. My neighbors and I are considering not frequenting the establishment anymore.
