Went and left. They are closed. Not sure if for good or not but disappointed they were closed and Google shows they are open.
It's closed officially. Too bad, was looking forward to trying this place and in a nice quiet area with a nice patio by the pond.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure they've closed down officially since the place was cleared now out :( It seems like this place is on the verge of going out of business. They've been closed the last two times I've been there. And when they were open, it was short staffed and you could only order through Door Dash. This makes me so sad. Their drinks are on the super sweet side, but the Vietnamese coffee made makes it nice and strong (energizing!) I loved their donuts but it looks like they closed down that station. I know it's tucked away and a little hard to find, but that's exactly why I loved it. The scenery in the office courtyard is beautiful and you can get some peace and quiet at the patio tables outside. I much prefer this over some busy loud coffee shop. I'm sad I didn't do more to support this place. Please keep this place open!!!! Parking: Park in the Bank of America parking lot in the non marked spots!
This joint is located in the midst of office suites and in the mist of an outdoor fountain/pond which is good because I would only come here if my coworkers invited me on an obligatory coffee+exercise break. Even though they had some scrumptious sounding drinks made with espresso, I ordered the ube nebulae because I wanted to try their “signature Vietnamese robusta coffee (2x caffeine)” however it wasn’t as cracked up as your typical SJ Vietnamese coffee. It tasted watery with some powdery ube flavoring. On the bright side, it has the pretty purple layering going on, especially after you let it disintegrate. They informed me that they have decaf espresso beans when we inquired about non-caffeinated options. PSA for those who like drinking anti-matter, such as my significant other. He was going to try the decaf Oreo Dark Matter but then they realized they were out of decaf as well as two other things that weren’t relevant to us but the people behind us complained. No big deal; we found him some lightly caffeinated green Thai tea. He said it tasted like bland Jasmine tea which is fair. We also got a bucket of mini donuts. They were not the business. The only good thing about this place is the service. The workers there were super friendly and gave us an enormous amount of napkins like they already knew we were messy eaters. I think the one at the register was pretty out of it or having too much fun. When I paid in cash, she said she only had change in nickels and apologetically asked me if it was ok. I was like sure, nickels are nice thick coins. So I got 13 nickels in change. Later I realized she forgot to charge me tax. Or at least my friend who paid with card was charged tax. We sipped our drinks with their cute paper straws and all agreed they were abominable drinks! But it was still fun to try once. Since I used to live in Oakland, the other location was on my radar for awhile.
Beware of the coffee.. Bought a bottle at Marina Food (was not expired) and the coffee was sour and coagulated. Emailed them, and at first was responsive--but since ghosted me. BEWARE!
They make you order through DoorDash when it is unnecessary. It wasn’t even busy when I was ordering. Coffee tastes watered down. Mediocre.
Not a fan of the drink I got but I’m willing to try another or two. Kind of hard to find from the street also.
Tucked away in a building, the coffees and Bahn Mis are really delicious. Tried the nebulae coffee and loved the creamy flavors of the coffee. The sandwiches are light and tasty. The outdoor seating area is really cute with a little water stream and trees around.
I was very excited when this place opened up a while back as I live within walking distance. Went during opening weekend and left with a tasty drink and a bucket of their mini donuts and containers of chocolate syrup and sprinkles! I remember that being a good experience, but ultimately the tucked away location had me forgetting about it since then. Tried going this morning for another bucket of mini donuts and to introduce some friends.. It was sad. They had signs on both doors stating that due to lack of cashier, they were only taking orders through Doordash or UberEats. The mini donuts were not listed at all :( We inquired about the different bánh mì options and were told that they were only serving beignets.. So unfortunately we had to drive to a different nearby cafe for breakfast. Parking: Lots of parking.
