Service was fine and we enjoyed the atmosphere but wow...the portions do not even come close to matching the menu. I ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas and I barely had enough meat to even fill 2 tortillas. It was 5 pieces of shrimp and 3 little scraps of steak. Absolutely nothing like the picture on the menu. First time I have ever left a Mexican restaurant still hungry. I had to make dinner once I got home. Will not be coming back here.
3/7/24 The food quality has gone down a little bit as this is one of my favorite restaurants. We had a booth table and the floors was a little dirty underneath. They only had one salsa (Medium) no hot. The steak was tough and chewy. I will not order any dish skirt steak anymore. My sister food was a little salty. All the other dishes were delicious. I would isit again.
Had a very tasteful lunch with excellent service
I wish I had taken a picture of the Fajitas we had today. The overall portion was the same but the 1/2 amount of chicken was hidden under the cheese. It’s bad enough that several years ago they got rid of the peppers. Pretty clever but fatal for On The Border when it comes to repeat service. The other part of the problem is the server was not organized. The lighting is a bit harsh. Luckily there are a lot of good Mexican restaurants in the suburbs. How can a restaurant get worse after Coronavirus
First time here everything was great! The food actually looked better on the plates than in the menu. Something that almost never happens. Our waiter Marco was wonderful and very courteous.
Service was great considering everywhere has been pretty slow. Food was wonderful. Waitress and bar tender took great care of us. Thanks for coming to work! Parking: Lots of available parking
