Great food !

The most ridiculous restaurant in Alhambra. DO NOT TRY! I ordered a Noodle and pilaf online, left my phone number before checkout. Was only told they do not have Pilaf now when I went pickup. Was not offered any other option, didn’t receive a phone call to tell me this fact. And on top of that, still charged me $1 convenience fee for ordering on their own website!! Several days later, I tried to order noodle from them, this time I chose to call. They told me they ran out of dough today. It’s 630pm and they are done for the day, and they don’t open for Tue and Wed. What a joke, if you are not gonna work just shut it down!!

So freaking good. Absolutely authentic food. As good as it gets.

Drove an hour to visit this restaurant for XinJiang food, very disappointed, and I don't recommend based on my experience. 别信小红书的推荐（don't trust social media） 1. No dine-in option, but not informed anywhere. 2. Staff got 2 out of my 3 items wrong in my order. Asked for spicy cold chicken and got lamb kebabs ($10 for 2 skewers), they spoke Chinese, so we communicated in Chinese, How do you mix up chicken and lamb?? I ordered lamb ribs (more expensive) and got lamb shank instead. The guy who took my order was either sloppy or the cooks were too lazy to make the dishes and just throw in some substitutes. 3. I found out the wrong item after drove home, so I called the business and the guy who took my order straight up told me "oh the chief forgot to cook the spicy cold chicken, but we charged you for lamb kebabs which is the same price and gave you the kebabs." Yes, without asking me ahead of time! so he knew what was going on and didn't say a thing about it when I picked up my order. Food was okay, but definitely not worth the money. There was no business at dinner time on a Saturday, and now I understood why that is.

Omar has switched to takeout-only post pandemic but such a relief to see that this place has stayed open because the family and the flavors are special. Big plate chicken and meat pie are a must. Order 40 min ahead of time to be safe, but don't skip Omar :-) Complex, aromatic and unique but also homey, handmade and reassuring food that comes in generous portions.

Love the dumplings and lamb kabob. Authentic and delicious options. Highly recommended.
